  Excelente

  No es una opción económica, pero lo vale. Excelente vista, excelente comida. Lo único un poco incómodo es la ubicación; está a unos 15 minutos de la estación de tren y no es fácil llegar con el equipaje; definitivamente es necesario ir en taxu.

  Great visit to Uji, Kyoto

  We decided to visit Kyoto but needed a place with free parking. We were fortunate to find this hotel with a beautiful view of the river Uji. My daughters were visiting from the US and they experiance a tradicional Japanese hotel, from sleeping on futons to traditional Japanese breakfast. This was a great location to visit Kyoto.

  Lovely onsen hotel

  The hotel has a great set breakfast. The onsen was lovely. The room is Japanese style and very big and clean. It does take about 15mins on foot to get there from the train station. You can ask for a shuttle and the hotel will try to provide it if within service hour

  Outstanding Place to Stay

  This hotel is an ideal choice when visiting Uji. Located on the Uji river you have a beautiful view. A ten minute walk to the shopping street with restaurants, tea shops and matcha ice cream. There is even a Starbucks. Very conveniently located with parking. Our meals were excellent making the $200 per person per night a good value. The soaking pools were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you have a car be sure to drive out to the tea plantations. The country sides are gorgeous. I have stayed there twice and I highly recommend the place.

  For An Experience You Will Never Forget

  When in Japan, it is essential that you stay at a RYOKAN, to savor a true local experience. This hotel is located on the UJI river which offers an exquisite view. Uji, located in the southern tip of Kyoto, will require a train journey from Kyoto, but worth the effort, as it's stunning serenity is in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle in Tokyo or Kyoto. The hotel is spotless, and the staff, although a bit limited in English, is welcoming, helpful, and lovely. Sleeping on the tatami mats was comfortable and soothing. Be sure to take a bath in the included Onsen, pure heaven. A complimentary self service happy hour including wines and juices is available at the lounge. Be sure to grab a glass and watch the river flow in front of you. Amenities are abundant including high quality green tea, special wash cloths, mini towels, and more. Kyoto Uji Hanayashiki Ukifune-en is about a 15 minute walk from the UJI Train Station, or you may take a Taxi....Just Go and ENJOY!
