  30 days at the KV Mansion

  I stayed here for 30 days, in all fairness the place is not bad. I made a bit of a mistake by renting here on a 30 day lease instead of just using an app and staying here as needed. I feel you can save more money and get better deals at KV mansion by using the apps. Unless you REALLY intend to stay here long term. Then the the cost is near 9000 baht a month. I paid $915.00 USD (31,000 baht) rent & deposit to move in. Renting here on a lease was a mistake on my part because of course im from the US and I had to out of pocket some cleaning supplies and pay to wash the sheets a few times and it started to make me nervous when it became clear that the charges they wanted for these extra services was not cheap and would be deducted from my deposit when I moved out. I think it would have gone along ways if the management would have helped with a few changes of sheets. The place had some issues I didn't carefor. One was the slider door in my room didn't lock, The road out front gets busy and can be a little much with how fast the cars are passing while walking on the side trying to make your way to the On Nut BTS. And a little more english from the staff would have helped but it worked out. AND the cook I dont think he liked us.. lol Now the good stuff. The place was safe with little risk of theft. The internet was also good. The staff is mostly nice, the place is also mostly nice, with a cute front patio for sitting. With a nice location in On Nut that has great access to the BTS to go anywhere and a good amount of food choices in 5-10 mins walk. Ill always remember my stay for 30 days in Bangkok.

  A pleasant surprise

  At first glance, I thought the place was a little rugged...especially when I discovered there wasn't a safe. But I have to say that I had my best night's sleep in Thailand here. The place was quiet and the bed soft. In the hotel itself there's a decent and inexpensive Thai restaurant and a laundry shop. They spoke reasonably good English at the front desk but are closed from 20:00 to 8:00 o'clock. The elevator was fast and responsive. Outside you have a 7-11 across the street, a food cart, and massage studios (choose the one on the right). It's a short walk to the On Nut BTS and two malls. One with a Tesco Lotus and the other with a movie theater. Overall this was a good place for it's price.

  Nice place to stay

  Nice hotel. They clean my room everyday.they always change my towel. Good location to go around Bangkok, It has 7-11 in front of the hotel and big malls just 50mtrs away from the hotel. The receptionist allowed us to check-in in a very early in the morning instead of checking in at 2:00pm, Easy access to BTS.

  Nice motel and conveniently located

  Pros:location is very good with bts,7E,tesco all within walking distance.spacious room and clean.friendly staff.has a nice restaurant with great food and cheap plus cafe at the lobby.has a small sauna and gym.provide packet of shampoo and mini soap bar with complimentary bottle water.has electric kettle and water shower is warm enough. Cons:walls and doors are too thin where u can hear your neighbour putting down the toilet cover or talking.furnishing is a bit outdated and aircond takes longer time to cool.wifi is slow and poor signal.cupboards were a bit dusty.slippery toilet floor. Worth your baht and its ok for short 2-3days stay inc.family. Will stay here again due to its price.

  Don't knock the 70's style look. It's surprisingly good.

  I booked this hotel based mostly on the many positive reviews, despite it being an older hotel. But everything was as I expected - great friendly staff, convenient location (walking distance to On Nut BTS, Tesco and Big C plus the many many street food vendors), and cleanliness of the room. I was fortunate enough to get a corner room with a nice balcony and great view. Room is big and clean, water was sufficiently strong and the aircon, most importantly, was freezing. The only negative point is the (dangerous) walk out to the main Sukhumvit Road and back; hardly any pavement so you'd have to dodge traffic. It's safer to walk against the flow of traffic so you know what's coming. Would definitely stay here again.
