  The Kuretake Inn more than exceeded our expectations! We will definitely stay here again!

  My mother and I stayed at this hotel and we both couldn't have been happier with our experience. The location is perfect as it is a short walking distance from the train station and lots of restaurants and shopping in the train station and nearby. The hotel also provided a wonderful and delicious breakfast buffet which was included in our price. Complimentary Happy Hour every evening was also a nice bonus. The room was very nice and big enough for the two of us. The mattress was a little firm, but not uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed any assistance.

  No English spoken here

  You could pay twice as much and get no more in your room as we did here. All normal facilities are included and the wifi works. The breakfast buffet is basic and could do with more attention to detail (eg. No knives to butter toast, drinks machine had no option for black coffee). Dining room staff have basic English, but reception staff seemed to have none. That is probably not an issue with the Japanese business men who are the main clients.

  Pleasant Surprise

  Very close to JR Station. 1500 check-in applied but not surprised, opportunity to recce the area and visit the Tourist Information Center at the station. Bags pre delivered to my room which was larger than expected, it even had a small kitchenette with induction heater and sink. The bathroom, while still compact, was a little bit larger than normal. The room also had a small wardrobe plus a writing desk. The only downer was no English language TV. A plus was the evening free drink (beer, wine etc). Tried the Vietnamese Restaurant, having visited Vietnam many times, the menu was so so. However, the breakfast buffet, mostly traditional Japanese, was more than adequate.

  Business style hotel

  Stayed here during the World Cup as we were attending a match at the Ecopa Stadium. The hotel is basic but comfortable and located really near the JR station. The rooms are small but have all you need including tea making facilities, a television and a hairdryer. The staff have very little English but I doubt they get many English speaking tourists. The breakfast was Japanese but there was bread, coffee and bananas for the rugby fans who didn't fancy the local cuisine so early in the morning. Prices were very reasonable

  Good business and budget hotel in closed to JR station

  5 mins walk to JR station, paid car park is next to the hotel. I am a sake fan and excited that I can choose local sake or beer as welcome drink. There is large shopping mall next to the hotel. Main area of shopping, restaurants, and drinks are around 20 mins by walk. Overall the stay is very good.
