  Convenient for historic area

  This was probably the most westernised hotel we stayed at during our tour of Shikoku. This meant that that the beds, chairs and tables were at a reasonable height (which being disabled, I was pleased to see). Although the hotel is in the modern part of the town, it is just round the corner from the Bikan, the historic area where you can wander quite happily for some time as well as eat at one of the many restaurants. We went as a family independently but several Groups were staying here night we were at the hotel. We did not come across them but were asked to delay our breakfast until 8:30 AM so the Groups could eat before this time. The breakfast was fairly expensive. The staff were helpful and spoke English

  Great Location

  This hotel was a welcome break from the fast-paced holiday we had had until then. The rooms, although probably not quite as 'plush' as ones that we had stayed in before, were very comfortable and had everything one would need, along with good wifi. The dining room though seemed to be very expensive so we ventured out to a local restaurant in the canal area adjacent to the hotel. The staff were very helpful and polite.

  Japanese tenderloin steak

  We have just returned from a very pleasant lunch at this place. Located in the historic part of town near the canal this place has a nice ambiance. The restaurant was almost empty meaning that staff werent run off their feet ensuring a fine quality of presentation resulting in a superb meal.

  Location Location Location! plus, great breakfast!

  This hotel is located right in the middle of the Bikan Chiku (Historical Area) in Kurashiki. Everything is in walking distance! Hop out side and you feel like you are back in time in Edo Period. The best part is that the hotel is adjacent to the Ohara Museum of Art. The hotel rooms seem a little outdated but they keep the rooms VERY clean and the beds are comfortable. Their breakfast buffet is great. They offer both traditional Japanese and western breakfast items. One thing to note: The parking space is extremely tight and small. We had a hard time parking because only one car can go through the driveway in the garage, so every time a car comes toward us, we had to back out to let them out of the garage first.

  Great Japanese hotel

  In most of the cities in Japan we stayed in regular hotels that could be the same anywhere else in the world. This one was a charming Hotel that was really Japanese in style and atmosphere. Designed nicely and decorated as a Japanese entity.
