Beautiful and well equipped hotelThis is a relatively new hotel but still built in typical alpine style with wooden balconies for every room. It is immaculate throughout and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The facilities are excellent with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, etc etc and lots of games for younger children. The hotel lives up to its name "Kuh" being the German for cow. There are full size plastic cows everywhere which look so realistic from any distance. On the roof, in the car park, in the lobby, by the pool - totally crazy and we really liked it!! The quality of food was excellent, but there was an appalling breakdown between the kitchen and the service to table which resulted in really annoying delays, and several requests (eg some cucumber and pepper to go with a salad) were acknowledged but never delivered upon. On a gala dinner night of 5 courses, we gave up on any chance of the dessert after over 3,5 hours at table. Such a tragedy. We had a further service farce when some friends joined us for dinner one of whom was a local Austrian so there can be no blame on the language. Breakfast was self service and absolutely fine. The hotel made a minor concession for the appalling service at dinner when we checked out but we would be unlikely to return without cast iron guarantees of restaurant service. The hotel is a long walk to the ski gondola, but does run a shuttle service.

Excellent! This was our second time at this hotel, first in autumn and now in spring. Both times superb. We were part of a large tour-group staying for six nights within a 9-day Austrian Tirol tour. The hotel is modern and stylish, in a delightful quiet setting on the edge of the village. It has a unique cow theme, which sounds odd but fits the area perfectly. The hotel has excellent facilities and feels a touch more corporate than the traditional Tirolean hotels. Smart and spotlessly clean in all public areas, with super spa and pool. Spacious bedrooms, all with balcony and mountain views. I guess it was a relatively quiet time rather than the hectic ski season, but even so it cannot be easy to please a large group of 48, but they did it brilliantly. Delicious vast breakfast buffet, and wonderful dinners every evening. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The management oversee things very professionally. We had a super week. Thank you.

Staffing issuesVisiting with friends who had stayed here before, the value for money as compared to Der Lärchenhof down the road is superb. Rooms are adequate (decor is dated but room size is spacious) and clean, with the spa and pool facilities well kept. The half board dinner set menu was of a very good standard and appetizing as was the breakfast. However, when one has to wait half an hour for a bartender to appear with no staff in sight, one wonders whether the hotel wants to earn money from parched guests who would like an after dinner drink? There was also nobody available for pre-dinner drinks with at least three separate groups waiting. Having asked the dark haired receptionist to call a colleague on multiple occasions, we were met with an offhand response, which is absolutely unsatisfactory. Said receptionist was otherwise not occupied and seemed to feel that guests were intruding on her leisure time behind the desk. The restaurant manager also seemed content to delegate everything to the two waiters who had to work the dining room, kitchens and then run to serve at the bar whilst he himself provided absolutely no assistance. Thank you goes to Atillah who did his very best to provide us with everything we needed whilst juggling multiple roles and being run off his feet. Oliver and the ladies at breakfast should also be thanked for their efficiency and friendliness, as should the Egyptian chef at the egg counter who was lovely. The blonde receptionist was also very welcoming and amenable unlike her dark haired colleague who seems to lack any sort of work ethic or customer facing skills. It would not take much for this hotel to improve its standards, but hiring decisions and criteria would have to be thoroughly re-examined.

Its all about the viewGood location with an magnificant view over the mountains. The room had a very strong scent of detergent. Got a another room and it was the same. Pool and sauna area was nice & clean and not overcrowded. Breakfast and dinner was ok but not more. One of the staff in reception was very rude and inhospitable.

Pleasant stayWe stayed here as a large group from a local company. The bedrooms are spacious but a little dated, they have a balcony with views to the mountains, very pleasant in the morning , there is a shower over the bath in the classic rooms. We arrived quite late in the evening and once we had checked in went to the bar to have a drink, have to say the service was not good and there were only 6 of us sat at that point. The breakfasts were very good, a lot to choose from, cold meats, cheese, cereal, ommelettes, fresh fruit, yogurt and many other things, the coffee was served to the table. We left very early in the morning so checked out the night before, the lady on the reception was very pleasant. The cow theme seemed very peculiar, I think the ones outside were fine but to find a blue cow by the reception was rather odd and many others dotted around. They also had cow hides on the floors as rugs which to me seemed a little of a "slip and trip" situation, however we did not witness any.
