  Agradable sorpresa!

  Relación calidad-precio inmejorable!! A 2 min de la playa en scooter. Habitaciones muy acojedoras y limpias. El desayuno sencillo pero correcto y la atención del servicio inmejorable (en especial Ajin, un chico encantador!) Sin duda una muy buena opción a elejir en Varkala!

  Best ayurvedic resort in Varkala!!

  I have stayed in Kshetra Retreat twice. Once for Ayurveda treatment by myself, they have great packages for Ayurveda treatment including Room, 3 ayurveda-based meals, herbal tea, Yoga, 2 hours therapy, medicine for good price. And their attached ayurveda clinic has a Green leaf certificate(the best!) I found a doctor and therapists here are experienced and sincere. I spent beautiful time with other ayur-treatment guests . And 2nd time, although I didn't plan to stay here(cuz this time was more budget travel), me and my friend were so attracted by this location, view, authentic Kerala style and we decided to stay again.(and it was a good decision!) Amazing, the receptionist even remembered my name! He is very helpful and trustful. Atmosphere here makes me feel so relaxed. I think it's the best sea view resort in Varkala(you'll enjoy the sunset in deck-chair), since it has got much space, you get good breeze.(it was no problem even in April) I like here cause they have some different places to sit and read book, like sea front, by the swimming pool, hammock, in front of the room, restaurant, yoga hall (<- yoga is also good here,shivananda style) And one of the closest one to the black beach, a bit far to the main beach. It is nice you are a little far from the main area, less crowded and more relaxed. They also maintain Kerala style garden(loved flowers and statues) very well. All stuff is friendly and lovely. Room is simple and clean, some rooms have great sea view. The restaurant is not that popular for non-ayur treatment people but there're many around there so you don't mind. I miss Varkala and when I go back there, I'll check this resort for sure.

  Not worth to money.

  Visited here for 1N/2D, not a good experience here. AC was not working, 3 pin port was not working so we are able to charge our mobile. Room was not that much clean. Not worth the money that they are charging. Location was also not great.

  Love this place. Of course you always can find many other options around , maybe cheaper, but Kshetra has the heart and this is amazing hospitality and care. And l appreciate the unique design and cleaness. .The special thanks to Vichu, amazing guy with kind heart and polite and very friendly attitude to every guest

  Dont stay here

  I booked a 3 night stay here for my boyfriend and myself, with the possibility of up to 6 nights (as we were unsure of our plans). I booked through Instagram as it was supposedly a cheaper rate. The room was clean but you could tell the hotel was run down. They claim they are some kind of retreat but all they have is a rooftop to do yoga, and they bring in a yoga instructor. The breakfast is also basic bread roll and jam, and curry. We said we were coming here to surf and they organised a surf instructor the first morning to come, without asking - I had to explain my boyfriend knows how to surf and doesnt need an instructor! Dont stay here if you are a girl travelling on your own. My boyfriend went out surfing early one morning and the manager (who I had previously spoken to to book the room) started messaged me straight after seeing him leave. This made me in incredibly uncomfortable! We decided to leave straight away and the manager obviously knew he was in the wrong and made it out like it wasnt him messaging me and that it was a lady on Instagram. Stay at Inda/Bohos next door!
