  Pleasant stay with friendly service

  Stayed here for 2 nights, while visiting relatives in the area, and we were suitably impressed. We had a top floor room, which was very large and modern - it had clearly been recently refurbished, and was better than we expected, having viewed some of the photos online. The only problem was that there was no curtain at the large front window - the smaller windows had blinds - so we had to rig something up to stop the light coming in. But otherwise it was very comfortable with a lovely big bed. We ate in the restaurant both nights, and found the dining area warm and cosy and with a varied menu. The service was very good as well and friendly. The location of the hotel was a little bit remote for us - it's near to Finkenburg Station, about 10 minutes walk, but it almost felt like it was in the forest. As we didn't have our own transport we had to walk everywhere, which was no problem during the day, but we weren't too happy to walk out at night because of the all the trees everywhere. Hence the reason we have given it 4 rather than 5 stars. But we will return.

  Great Hotel, Very good Restaurant

  This hotel is in a quiet area and across the street is a large park that is good for walking if the weather is good. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Restaurant was very good, and the service was excellent.

  always a nice place to stay

  i have stayed here several time and always with a good experience. the rooms are not bog, but clean and comfortable. the service in the restaurant is very nice, the food also good. the breakfast is giving you the first positive experience of the day - very good and a ideal variaty of products - i don't think i need more,.

  Pleasant place to stay

  Quiet hotel in an old house with 4-floors. Does not have elevator - stairs might be a problem for handicapped people. There is a garden to sit outside during summer. Good breakfast. The prices are very reasonable.

  Weekend break

  Disappointed to be given a room on the third floor with no lift and I have a fractured leg so in a walking boot and stick. The has single beds opposite ends in the room so not romantic in any way. Very basic room but clean.
