Wonderful view of the MoselleWe had a room on the third floor (last flight of stairs was a spiral staircase, not easy if you have a lot of luggage) with view over the Moselle through a massive window. The room was spacious with a king size bed and Tv, WIFI is available but can be a little weak in the room at times. Bathroom with shower was fine. No tea & coffee making facilities. Breakfast was served from 8 to 10 and was a very substantial buffet with a great variety of fruit, meats, cheeses and breads. The restaurant was only available for dinner if you had booked in advance and served a single dish each day so we ate elsewhere. The bar was opened some of the time but seemed to close quite early most nights (around 9). The hotel is about 20mn walk out of town but it was nice to take a stroll along the river and watch the huge barges and the wild life, especially the Egyptian geese! The hotel manager speaks good English and they accept credit cards which is quite rare in that area of Germany.

NOT for families or children!never before have I been exposed to something like this. Nice hotel, lovely rooms, but the hosts are the most rude i have experienced in my life. The hotel writes that they are child-friendly, and it is partialy true, they offer babybeds, but after that the friendliness stops. After breakfast the first out of two, the host comes out to us and scolds us, publicly and loudly, because the kids have not eaten up after the breakfast, that we had paid for. Great view, bad place for families.

Excellent HotelExcellent Hotel! friendly and helpfull staff. We was small group of 12 peoples and we get very good service. Leen and Tanja do everything possible for us. We was on half pension and Leen prepare for us special dinner with all what we ask about. Rooms are big and clean. View on Mosel from balcony is great. Location is just on Mosel strand and very quiet.

Beautifully situated close to Mosel but awful rooms and service -stay away!!We had booked two rooms for two nights but left after the first. It was +38 degrees outside and we were accomodated in what must have been the old, now rebuilt attic, so the indoor temperature was hideous as there was no air conditioning and not even a ventilation shaft for letting the warmth out. We tried opening the windows but then the mosquitos and other insects found their way in so we had to close them and just endure the night. We slept something like 3 hours each... In the morning we went down to the reception and asked if there were any other rooms available but were met with an incredible unhelpful (to say the least) attitude - the guy showed no interest in solving our problem despite him must have known that those top floor rooms are inhabitable during summer. There were no rooms available and we accept that, but he could at least have shown some service mindedness and maybe offered to put in some fans or offer a refund for the second night when we said we cannot stay in those rooms for another night. To end with something positive: breakfast was good and the hotel had a beautiful patio overlooking Mosel, good wifi and free parking. Still - we will never go back to that hotel, not even if we were to go during other seasons with cooler weather as we were met with such an awful attitude.

Nice rooms & breakfast but unfriendly host, not customer friendlyWe got very nice clean rooms and good breakfast. Location is OK and you get free parking. But the host is not customer friendly at all. For this price you get elsewhere much better service (hotel bar closed and lights out at 9pm, very rude comments, when coming with several couples he accepts only 1 payment for the total group). Feels like you are in a boarding school. You do not feel really welcome.
