  Excellent small friendly hotel with the personal touch

  Stayed here with my parents and a family friend in September 2012. I had been to the hotel before but only as a restaurant guest in 2011. I decided to give it a try and we were very happy we did! We took two rooms, one being a suite. The room was good enough, nothing special to write home about. However the suite was excellent and spacious and great value for money. Note that the rooms were Litz and Kronen Suite (you can see the rooms on the website for the hotel) and there are only six rooms in total. Free WiFi throughout the hotel, there was an issue one night, but it was quickly resolved after going to reception. Service was superb, a real personal touch - two of the party can speak basic German and we tried out our skills. Some of the staff can speak English but not everybody can, which was not an issue for us. The hotel was clean, without absolutely no problem in that respect. The breakfast in the morning was fine, it was a buffet laid out, with staff on hand to supply coffee. We used the restaurant both evenings and the food was excellent, large portions of great food, not for the faint hearted! Atmopshere at night time was good and the decor of the restaurant makes you feel very cosy. There was free car parking across the road for hotel guests which was good. It was a slightly tight car park but there was space every time available. Another positive for the hotel is that we received some pre-printed paperwork for the Montafon-Silvretta card (http://www.montafon.at/cards) and I maybe wrong here, but it seemed we were eligible for some kind of discount as well. We had to buy the card elsewhere, in our case at one of the cable car stations, but having all the paperwork ready with bundles of information was a great help. The card is a must, the savings you make are huge, we made full use of it. Just a shame the card does not allow you to try the Alpine Coaster on Golm for free (but that is only 6,10 Euro). Anyway back on topic, I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Schruns. I particularly enjoyed the fact it was a small hotel and the personal touch, if I ever return to Schruns I would stay here and would definitely go for the suite - it is worth the extra money.

  Great Stay!

  We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Schruns, thanks to the staff and facilities at this hotel. It is the perfect place to be based out of to enjoy the Montaphon Area. The restaurant at the hotel is one of the best in schruns and guests get to enjoy breakfast in it every morning! Definitely one of the top hotel in the Montaphon Area

  A beautiful sight

  Hotel Krone, Schruns, Montefore, Vorarlberg What a lovely and beautifully kept place the Hotel Krone is; Ms Mangard and her team of lovely young ladies in local dirndle dresses saw to all our needs and were more than willing to give advice. The hotel is very well situated for a walk into town and to take short walks along the rivers. The rooms are modern and comfortable. From our windows we had lovely views of the surrounding mountains. The drive on the Alpine Silvretta road to the high mountain lake provides breath-taking views and hair-raising bends. We stayed 2 nights in September 2014 and would definitely stay in the Hotel Krone in Schruns again.

  great value for money

  very friendly staff, walking distance to the ski resort and hearty food in the restaurant. this place is perfect for ski weekends. Great value for money. booked this place for a group of people (around 20) and they are very accommodating

  Very Freindly Hotel and also a Great Restaurant

  My room was beautiful and large with a sofa chairs and comfortable bed. The bathroom had a lovely shower enclosure, and super hot water. The room was personalised nicely and the whole place had a great feeling. All the ladies were very friendly and the restaurant served excellent food at a sensible price with really nice little extras and trimmings. Breakfast superb!
