  Good, but better options

  Is located on the edge of Gerlos, just over a 5 min walk from the lift. Room was small and dated and corridor outside was pitch dark, while energy saving measures is common in communal areas of hotels in Austria, switches are frequently motion based as opposed to infrequently placed timer switches in this case. Hotel has small pool, sauna and steam room, hotel was quiet so no issue, however the size of the sauna may prove an issue in normal weeks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Having stayed in Gerlos before however, I would stay in previous hotel if available.

  Late breakfast

  We stayed first time in Gerlos for skiing and was surprised with the Dutch population in this small village.Gerlos is a kind of one street village located between mountains.As it is so small, location of hotels are nearly same. Pros&cons of Hotel Kristall: :( - Breakfast starts only at 8 and we had to have always very quick breakfast to start skiing as early as possible. For skiers it is important to be the first on ski-run, but this is not considered in the hotel. - Our room (not at the street side) was too small that we had to walk carefully in the room. - As Gerlos is a popular area, not only this hotel but also all other hotels are expensive. :) - Hotel gave cards for keeping ski equipment. Very comfortable. - Fresh orange juice at Breakfast. - Small pool, small steam room and small sauna

  Skiweekend

  Nice hotel with good location. Large room with good beds. BUT breakfast to late (open at 8) and we were very negative to the smokingroom that gives the hotel a bad smell and make a nice, relaxingroom unavailable for non-smokers. The service from the young owner-generation could be better. Very good restaurant!

  Great stay as always

  2nd time back and didn't falter. Lovely hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. As always fabulous food and drink (nearly better than the snow!) Gudrun is brilliant - she really does look out for you. Last year I hurt my leg and this year had a viral infection but she really made my stay better and always made sure I was OK! Thank you Gudrun and to all the staff (& for all the herbal teas!) We will be back!!

  Nice hotel in good location

  I've stayed there for 1 night during a hiking tour nearby. The lady at check in was very friendly and gave me a nice, quiet room on the 3rd floor facing the back. The room was very clean and quite big. Bed was very comfortable. Free wifi, free parking and only a couple minutes walking distance from the center. Breakfast was from 8 to 10 and the selection was very nice. I enjoyed my stay there and definitely would come back.
