  Ovenight stay

  This was a large two bedroom unit. It was old and somewhat tired but clean and comfortable.Was quiet until street noise shouting around 5am. The thermal pool was out of action. Parking was tight but ok. Location was very close to supermarket etc. Very pleasant folk at reception.

  Relaxing 2 night stay

  My family and I had a 2 night stay and would definitely stay there again. We made last minute reservations over the phone, luckily for us they had an open 2 bedroom unit. The staff are friendly and helpful. The motel is peaceful, with a nice swimming pool outside which was a huge plus for the children. Yes, it isn't a 5 star hotel, but is well taken care of and clean. For me, clean, peaceful and friendly staff is of utmost importance and they have that and another positive is that it is centrally located. I had a wonderful time.

  Terrible

  I very rarely write a bad review on motel/hotel but with the hundreds on hotels i have stayed in over the years this would be one of the worst. The dirtiest bathroom i have ever seen in a hotel. The toilet hadn't been cleaned and the previous occupant had left quite a mess in the toilet. Absolutely disgusting. The overall cleaning was poor as there was lots of dust on the windowsill. I can't really say anything good about this property. Do not stay here!!!

  Great place to stay

  Hi stayed in motel Thursday 14th Jan this year very friendly service I recommend this motel to anyone and will always go back hats off to all the staff and management thanks again rich.anf carol from gisborne

  Do not stay at this place!!!!!

  Firstly the place is very unclean. It is very dated which I can live with but it is not clean, the bedding had stains, the bathroom had used tissues and hair everywhere, the fridge wasnt switched on, the mineral pools I wouldnt go near goodness knows what disease you could catch. However the WORST THING was when one night there was a fight going on in another room, an extremely loud and violent fight that went on all night and we had no one to contact. There is no after hours contact number to call so I hoped that the owners were on site and would hear the disturbance and deal with it but nothing happened. I then prayed that someone would call the police, I wanted to call the police but was too afraid they would want to talk to me and that the people causing the trouble would know it was me who reported them. So we waited terrified the whole night. Upon leaving I went to reception to let them know what I thought about my stay and after ringing the bell and waiting a long time a young girl came out to assist us. The owners were not there, in fact they were not there the whole night! They left a young girl there on her own to look after the motel and for her work they would give her 10 days of free accommodation! I couldnt believe my ears! Had I have called the police this girl would have had to confront the situation on her own. I asked her to please be safe as I feared for her safety. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL!!! WHATEVER YOU DO SEEK ACCOMODATION ELSEWHERE!!! It is unclean, there is no surveillance, no after hours contact number nothing! They then employ young women to watch the premises at night and clean the entire place for no pay! Disgraceful! I will be taking my complaint further.
