  Comfortable and clean

  Pretty good room. We paid 300,000 per night and stayed for 4 nights. Other guests paid as much as 400,000. The room was clean and basic, but included AC. The shower is not lombok water and is a bit salty and smells like sulfur. Bed includes a mosquito net. Free wifi, but it's incredibly slow and basically non-existent in the rooms. Check-out is at 10:30 am. Breakfast was very minimal and not exactly as described. The tomato and cheese omelette had no cheese one morning. The bread was stale. However, the lunch and dinner were pretty good at her warung. The fish curry was quite good and not badly priced. The place is quite hot during the day as it is in the middle of the island. It seems that Sudi might have had a bad experience before as she was always expecting us not to pay. I went to the fridge and got a coke and took out 10,000 to pay for it and as i walked towards her to pay, she shouted that i needed to pay. The money was clearly visible in ny hand. Similar things happened when we went to pay for everything. Also, if she's with her friends or on the phone, expect to wait a while to talk to her, buy something, or order food.

  Nice place to stay in Gili Meno

  When we walked in without having a reservation and after seeing a few places we immediately liked the room. Honestly... her white sheets, clean light coloured walls and mosquito net gave us a sense of cleanliness. Sometimes less is more ;) not every place in Indonesia thinks this way. Two sheets provided (not everywhere) 4 pillows.. a very useful mosquito net on bed (cock roaches are everywhere on the islands), a wardrobe you can actually lock which is nice. The toilet was covered.. some places have open toilets. We liked it.. just no soap provided but we had our own. Only four rooms.. all with private balcony which was nice. Location is close to the harbour. As meno is a very quite island there isn't much anywhere... Sudi was nice when she showed us the room on our arrival. Erwin has been exceptional with guests. Very nice guy.. gives you lots of honest tips of what to do on your own and so on. Always there to ask if everything is ok... we liked it!!! Breakfast was as usual in Indonesia. Pancake or omelette with juice or coffee. The restaurant on site is handy for evening meals. Prices are ok and food is tasty. WiFi a bit slow.. worked better at the restaurant... but worked. Only downside.. salty water in the bathroom. Not good for brushing teeth.. just OK for showering... And the air con is a bit loud.. but worked fine; ) We would recommend this place. If the rate is OK go for it ;)
