  Nice hostel, bit quiet

  A really nice hostel located conveniently between the Nara sights and the train station, close to the shopping district. As it's run by an only person, here comes the one and only thing I didn't like, which was the lock out period between 10:00 - 16:00. I understand that, yet as I was in Nara during a rainy day, this rules out the option of staying in the hostel till the weather improves. So count this in when you plan your trip (also this means no bag drop if you arrive to Nara early). Apart from that, the hostel is nice and clean, the kitchen is small and not suited for big cooking, but it's okay. The rooms are neat and clean (I've stayed in the dorm room). The owner is really nice and knows a lot about Japan :)

  The best guesthouse you could ever find in Nara!

  Yuki's guesthouse was a wonderful experience. It was warm and comfortable, and full of great decorations from Nara. Yuki took great care of us too, giving good restaurant advice, offering us sake and fruits and coming by for a chat, even preparing hot water bottles for the freezing nights. Having a host who was so passionate about his home city really enhances the experience. The guesthouse is located in the centre of the old Nara (10min walk from the city centre). Definitely recommend!

  A comfortable hostel specialized for Bhuddist art

  I had a lovely stay here. Sakai-san was welcoming and helpful in all matters. In addition, he knows Buddhist art in detail, so you can get precise tourism information from him. I traveled alone to see major temples and Buddha statues in Nara. I slept in a clean ladies dormitory room on the 2nd floor. Toilet and sink located outside the room. Everything was very comfortable. Kohaku is a little perfect place in Nara and I would love to stay again if I have a chance.

  Nice neighbourhood

  The owner is suuuuper nice. It is a cosy space, charming and traditional. You have to follow the timing rules. The common space close at 23hr to provide a calmed and silent stay to the guests. Notice that the guests has to be out of the guestshouse from 10 to 16hr for cleaning. If you are a traveller that likes to sleep longer or take it easy that is not your place. But if you like a nice located place with a welcoming host take that guesthouse as a posibility for your stay at Nara.

  Cozy place in Nara

  Charming little place in Nara. Yuki is amazing host, he feeds u all the information needed to roam around in Nara, he also recommend some nice place for food and drinks. Besides, the guesthouse itself is very comfortable, u can relax in the lounge, enjoy the good quality tea and coffee while reading the interesting books on the bookshelves. Great place to spend a few more days.
