No vayais a kooh mook! Saludos!

    Not so good

I booked this resort in advance and stayed for 3 nuts,What a disappointment. What the photos do not tell you is that there is hardly any Beach but mud flats amid the surrounding mangroves. The resort is jaded and needs a small reinjection of life and organisation. Rooms were ok but tired. Bkfst was cold,,fried eggs, ham, franks, and sometimes a little Thai noodle/rice with coffee+toast. It did not inspire you to eat later at this restaurant. Sad really to see such bad management as the pool and surrounding area were excellent and there are plenty of interesting restaurants and bars within walking distance.

    Not the best....

We were a bit concerned to read some of the previous reviews, but noted that several were written some time ago. Big mistake !, we should have taken notice. We chose it as it had a pool and was beach front. At the time we stayed, there were only 3 other rooms occupied. Location - not the best, separate from other main beaches. You can walk along the sand to the local village and pier only when the tide is out. Taxi bike costs 50 Bhat per person. The Hotel is situated on the "sea front" there is a small stretch of coarse sand when the tide is in, when the tide is out it extends to a wide stretch of mud. Not ideal area for swimming or sitting on the sand. Better beaches around the island - the main one at Charlie's beach. Rooms - dated and tired. Bathrooms are dated and in need of refurbishment. Wifi is available at the Hotel but does not extend into rooms or to the pool. TV is basic 10 channels, only 6 work, all in Thai. The beds are hard, we asked for the sheets to be changed as they were grey, stained, and not clean. Cleaner sheets were only marginally better. Pillows were stained and smelly. Pool - I have a pool of my own, and clean it myself, so I am biased. The Hotel pool was full of dead insects, several frogs on the bottom and algae on the side walls. In my extensive travels it is the first time I have had to clean a Hotel pool before using. I did swim (for exercise) but ensured that I used ear plugs and goggles. Have used better pools in Thailand. 5/10. Reception - appeared to have several staff sat around, but unhelpful and not motivated. Couldn't decide if they had just "given up" or lacked focus. Did not even offer to take cases to the room on arrival. Breakfast - we did not use breakfast facilities as it appeared to be expensive. There are several good restaurants a short walk away in "the village", or next door at DADA'S bar. Restaurant - did not use. Took taxi to Charlie's beach 15 minutes away, 50 Bhat per person,. Several good restaurants available. Summary - this is a dated and tired Hotel that is not in the best location and still charging current market rates. If you are looking for peace and quiet with vegetation and wildlife, remote, in a mangrove swamp then it's for you, if not there are better places on the island similar priced. Not the best !

    Great pool

We stayed here for 6 nights in total. The first three nights we stayed in the basic bungalow and the last few nights we stayed in a villa with air con. The bungalow was decent, clean and had enough space. Beds were not super comfortable. The villa with air con was much better and not too much more expensive with a deal through Agoda. The pool was a highlight, and even though the location was further away than other spots there was enough options for eating that weren't too far. Overall had a good experience. Staff also helped us booked a private transfer to Krabi airport which was super helpful.

    Seriously, don't go here

Please, I hope yoy read all the other reviews too. Fortunately we only booked two nights here in a sea view bungalow with aircon and breakfast. This review is based on the price, facilities etc. This 'resort' is way overpriced and by no means a resort. The right price for a sea view bungalow with aircon and breakfast should be no more than 1500 thb! Also it closes at 19.30 and by 23 lights are out on the pathways except from a few bulbs. The bungalows are worn out, holes in the walls, HARD beds like you're lying right on the springs. No storage for clothes in our bungalow type. Tv yes, but only 6 channels in thai. You can't use the so called beach, yes it is water front but thats it. I think the vision got lost somewhere in the process. Perhaps if they had made a great poolarea, like an infinity pool and kept the place in better condition. If you do stay here, don't bother to pay for sea view and breakfast. The resort is like a ghost town, there's definitely people staying here, but only to sleep. If you want to stay right on the beach, where you can take a swim, Sivalai is the only place to go. The sand is really speciel there, it sounds like snow when you walk in it. If you can do without beach front, there are plenty of other bungalows and villas to choose from, which are way cheaper! The island itself is ok though. Mind you, that there's lots of trash which is a shame. The people here are really friendly, just like the rest of Thailand, and some even more.
