  Clean but in dire need of remodeling

  All the recent reviews are spot on but we didn't have many options traveling with a small pet. Room was quiet and clean but those are the only positives. Rooms are tiny and cramped, building is decrepit, and I really hope the owner invest in a total overhaul because the town is a popular stopping point on the Alaska highway.

  Kluane Park Inn, Only thing that saved it was the staff

  Monica/ Allie/ Kat (KPI Bar Star Staff) Were the only reason we stayed there numerous times, yes the bar staff... and the hotel, is old school, but stayed in some 4 star places, and not one had complimentary tooth brushes and paste.. and was very clean... and the lovely people of Haines Junction that we got too meet with, and the Alaska Highway travelers that we got to share a drink with, "Thats the Yukon Experience"... Thanks KPI Staff for the many visits, we put KPI on our rest stop.. and leasure, for every fishing trip... And special thanks to Monica.. for taking the lead to introduce us to your staff team.. very special people... Regards Kenn Roberts

  Vacation

  Had a wonderful visit. Not the cleanist place in the world but very friendly and had all the necessary amenities. Fantastic powerful shower! Free coffee. Close restaurant and the pub had free pool and foosball.

  vacation..on our way to Alaska

  We saw the pictures in the Mile Post, and it looked nice, so we called and made reservations. Very disappointed, very small old cramped room. Very much in need of a make over, or better yet, tear it down and start over. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had to go to the bar to check in. No microwave in the room, so went to the bar to heat up our food. Go across the street and stay at the Raven. On our way back, that's what we did. Won''t be back.

  Filthy and grim; Avoid like the plague!

  Haines Junction is the gateway to the Canadas incredible Kluane National Park. Its blessed with Parks Canada rangers that do an amazing job maintaining the trails, and cursed by poor accommodation. The hotels in Haines Junction range from mediocre to downright awful, and the Kluane Park Inn is definitely in the latter category. On a positive note, the showers were good and the water was hot. Everything else about the place was unremittingly grim and filthy, from the dirty underwear we found under the bed dating from 2018 (or earlier) to the bird droppings caked onto the windows that hadnt been cleaned since the start of the season. The layers of dust under the bed surrounding the underwear also suggest the room hadnt been cleaned thoroughly since the Klondike gold rush. Worst of all was the duplicity of the owner or manager who moved us from the superior rooms (that we booked 4 months ago) to the ones that we were put in. Apparently we were moved to accommodate a bus tour but nobody bothered to tell us and they even tried to charge us the same price when we checked out. No apology, no acknowledgement that the filth in our rooms was unacceptable to them, no sense that they cared remotely about their customers. Do not stay here; do not eat here; avoid the Kluane Park Inn like the plague. Sleep in your car if you have to.
