  Great value for money

  Pros: easy to find, lots of parking space, quick to check into with nice staff, large comfortable (if very generic and unexceptionally designed) rooms, peaceful surroundings. Cons: breakfast ends at 10.30 and early checkout time isn't sensible, either.

  Excellent, clean and friendly hotel

  We used this hotel to visit Colditz, which is just a few miles away. We stayed in the separate accommodation block, which was very clean and modern. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had our evening meals in the 'pub' in the hotel's grounds, which was very friendly and informal - the food was lovely. I made use of the naturist spa, which is very well fitted out with two saunas, a steam room (not working during my stay), a rest area, multiple showers and a plunge pool. There is also an outdoor nude sunbathing area with loungers and chairs.

  Great hotel

  Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Colditz Castle about 5 miles away. Had a room in the guest house complex just a few minutes walk from main building. Rooms are large, comfortable, clean and quiet. Only down side is they lack coffee making facilities, even though the room has a small kitchenette area (there is no equipment). One night we ate in the main restaurant which was OK, but they brought the main course before we'd finished the starters and just left them on the table. Prices are not cheap but there is no where else nearby that offers dining like this. The other night we ate in the Klosterschanker bar on site, a more traditional type of restaurant, good menu and fair prices. The sauna complex in the fitness area on site was also very good

  Excellent Hotel - ideal for Colditz

  After horrendous traffic and roadworks on the autoroute, it was super to arrive at such a relaxing hotel for a two night stay. There is plenty of parking space by the hotel. Our large, restfully decorated room was on the ground floor with a small terrace and pleasant outlook. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food was delicious, and, we thought, reasonably priced. There was a wide selection, both hot and cold, to choose from for breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We plan to stay here again for several nights on our next visit to Colditz in 2018. Perhaps tea/coffee facilities in the room would be an advantage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you.

  This hotel is situated just outside Grimma. Staff very helpful. Breakfast each table had a thermos of coffee so always hot. Plenty of choice of what to eat for breakfast. Rooms very spacious with settee and coffee table as well as a desk for computer. Bathroom with walk in shower and hot towel rail. Outside small enclosed terrace with two chairs. The hotel restaurant was excellent both for food and staff. The pub on the site was good for German food and cheaper. Lots of local history with ruins of the convent onsite
