  Nice room, good location, but boring breakfast

  This hostel and hotel was located just 5 minutes on foot from Taichung TRA Station (please be advised this station is different Taching HSR Station), and surrounded by various shop and restaurants. Travelling around the city was convenient to us with many bus stops nearby. Room was basic but spacious. Mattress was a bit hard but we still had comfortable sleep. Staff was ok with good English. Breakfast, however, was boring with same dishes, same menu from day to day.

  Excellent hotel in Taichung city. Value for Money

  Great hotel location as it is just walking distance from Taichung Main Station. Taxi stand is just opposite hotel. Room is clean, breakfast is good with several choices of local delicacies. Definitely value for money. Thank you very much Kiwi Hotel :)

  Good price good locations

  Very near to train station, easy to find food. Room was small, very clean and alright for 1 night stay. You may leave your luggage at the Reception if the room is not ready. I will definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

  Excellent stay - Exceeds our expectation

  We booked a quad family room as we have 2 adults and 2 children. We have a good and comfortable stay in Kiwi Express Hotel Taichung Branch 1. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great location. Less than 5 mins walk from Taichung main station and bus station. Many eateries nearby. Room is big, new and very clean. It has windows. There are hot and cold water dispenser beside the lift at every floor. Beds are comfortable and very quiet to sleep at night. No noisy neighbours. Strong wif. Great breakfast (mainly chinese dishes - buffet style). Considered quite a wide spread as the room rate is quite low. We find them delicious. Friendly and helpful receptionists. They allow us to leave our 2 big luggage with them for one night after checking out so I could just carry a small overnight bag to Cingjing. With the price we pay, we should not expect much. But end up I find it excellent! It really excceeds our expectation. Highly recommended.

  Exceeded my expectations! Good price for good quality

  This place is conveniently located near Taichung Station, Miyahara Fermosa, and UBike station. It wasn't too easy to find because you might accidentally pass by it, but its bright green helped a lot. The interior is clean, the staff was nice and helpful, and has mostly everything you'll need. The room was nice, well equipped with a good fridge, TV with lots of channels, and plenty of amenities. The provide shampoo and body wash from a dispenser by the shower, but there was no conditioner. Unfortunately, the blanket and towels were not too clean, and you can kinda tell because the linen is white. The WIFI is no good. Open with no password, so it's very weak or you won't get any signal at all. Breakfast was great! Other hostels will only provide simple toast, but this place had a mini buffet with rice, toast, potato, and a coffee machine!!! The dining area is small, and you have to put your own dishes in the sink.
