  Best choice

  We were looking for a hotel for overnight, just arrive from the train station. The hotel location is very convenient, near to the station and walking distance to mc donalds, seven eleven and the Museum. The room is very good, quite new, very clean. There are some bikes for land.

  Budget, undertrained staffs

  Good: You get what u pay for. Cheap accommodation = cheap facilities. Located next to McD. Free bicycle rental. Bad: 2nd visit to Kiwi. 1st time was in August, double room was clean and comfortable. Stayed at their triple room during this trip for 7 nights and was very disappointed. Room smelled and wasn't very clean, also the shower was only separated by a shower curtain (which we weren't very comfortable with). Requested if we could switch room (or pay for an upgrade to the quadruple room) but was told because we booked through agoda we had to cancel our booking and request for a new room at the reception (which means paying even more and being subjected to agoda' s cancellation policy). Also, staffs seem to be very under-trained. When we asked for directions to couple of destinations (on different occasions) they seem to provide a standard answer 'we're not sure. You have to take the taxi'. On one occasion the staff even told me that there is no public transport to the place I want to go and I can only go there by taxi (I later found out on my own the public transport route which was in fact very straightforward and the station was quite close to the place). As an avid traveller, this is one of the rare occasions tht I've met with receptionist tht are so unfamiliar with their local area. Not to forget the breakfast seems very sad. Only ate the free breakfast provided for the first two days after which we decided to eat out. If you're on a tight budget, this may be your solution. If u have abit more to spare, consider staying somewhere better.

  Good affordable choice

  Convenient location. It's right next to the national science and technology museum. McDonald's and 7-11 are down the road. Local food stalls are good. Markets around 20 mins away by cab. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are decent and fulfils all basic requirements. It had bicycles for rent. Breakfast ok.

  Cigarette smell everywhere

  I am writing this review because hotel.com deleted my review from their website. Just to say how dishonnest they are. I went to the hotel and the staff was super nice. Arrived in my room i smelled old cigarette smell and asked to be changed room and they agreed. New room did not smell bad so its ok. But later at night the cigarette smell started coming out of the vents it was horrible especially the bathroom felt like someone is actually smoking in the bathroom. Probably nother room. Also it was very noisy like a janitor or i dont know spitting and making lots of noise with doors early in the mornimg. The smell was so bad i closed the bathroom door and opened window and turned off electricity so that i wouldnt feel like breathing second hand smoke all night. Yhey should put snoke detectors in the room or something. It was a horrible experience but the staff was nice and the bathroom renovated its very nice

  Comfortable..

  A budget hotel but provides most things you need. It has coin operating washer and dryer with soap and fabric softener provided free of charge. You may help yourself with coffee and biscuits at the lobby area too. However I find the lighting of the room and wash area are a bit too dim. I neither can read the instructions of the washer nor do any serious reading in the room. Apart from it, it is a good hotel,
