Rishiri Kitaguni Grand HotelVisited Rishiri Island last week of August 2016 and stayed in this hotel. Room is very comfortable and clean, standard amenities include bath towels large & small, shampoo, slipper, toothbrush/toothpaste, soap and Japanese yukata. They have pick up going to and from airport and if going to the Oshidomari ferry terminal also possible if arranged in advance. From 6th floor window can see the sea and surrounding areas. I didn't notice if there is Wifi but maybe can ask the front desk staff as they were all very helpful and nice, sorry but not sure if they speak English because I communicated in Japanese language. They have natural hot spring bath and outdoor bath but only used the inside one as the weather was bad and windy and going out of the outdoor bath door was locked. Breakfast not continental but Japanese style with rice, miso (bean paste) soup, japanese pickles, fish, fermented bean (natto) and coffee and other drinks served. Dinner also included and features Rishiri konbu (seaweed prepared dishes), sashimi, uni (fresh sea urchin) & sea urchin steamed rice (next night's dinner - it was steamed crab rice) both delicious. All in all it was a very good hotel stay. On ground floor near the front desk, they have Omiyage (souvenier shop) but it was open only late from 5-7PM due not so many guests I supposed, prices are reasonable too.

Wonderful hotelI spent three nights in this hotel and loved everything it. The location is very good, close to the ferry terminal, shops and bars, the hiking trail on Mt Rishirifuji and an amazing bike lane. The room was exceptionally spacious, with a very comfortable bed and everything a hotel guest could possibly need. The room service was excellent. On the first floor is spa, with both indoor and outdoor bath. The reception staff was very helpful and professional. The best hotel, in this price range, I have stayed in Japan.
