  Simple but tasty local food

  We ate lunch at their restaurant, as part of the package in our 3-day Luang Prabang tour. The place doesn't look much, but the food is surprisingly good! We were served vermicelli veggie soup, spring rolls, duck with a sweetish sauce, veggie omelette, and stir-fried mixed veggies - we loved every single one of those dishes. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to get a taste of nice, yummy, simple local food.

  Lovely hotel to stay in Luang Prabang

  The hotel is very nice....in front of a quite busy street, but if you get a room in the back is great. Is 7 minutes walk to the center which holds every night the flee market. The staff is great. Not so much speaking good english but the manager and owner Knot (spelling might be wrong) this will be fixed. Breakfast basic but a lovely way to start the day. little shops all around for everything you need. Anyhow Luang Prabang is unique experience . Must visit the waterfalls...both small n big...

  My friend and i had 2 nights in this hotel. Everything is perfect. Located near by the night market and very easy to go visit the city. A nice room, good service, the people are kindly! Hope they have more and more the tourists in the futrue.

  Pre-paid bookings not honoured

  I normally get annoyed by people leaving reviews of places they haven't actually stayed, but I can't not in this case. We had a booking with Hotels.com that was confirmed and pre-paid. When we arrived, we were told the hotel was full. As far as they were concerned, they had cancelled our booking and filled the rooms. They would not offer a refund. (On Hotels.com website it was still listed as "rooms available"). The staff were fairly indifferent about the situation. We called Hotels.com and they were luckily able to transfer us, but this took several hours of phone calls. During the time we were sorting it, two French couples arrived with a reservation. They had booked but not prepaid and were told they could have their rooms but at twice the price they booked at. They left to find a different hotel themselves. Another couple then arrived with a pre-paid room booked online. They also kicked up a fuss and were allowed to stay in the "manager's room". About an hour later (we were still in the lobby on the phone with Hotels.com) the manager arrived, was furious and forcibly removed them from her room and said they couldn't stay. So my advice would be, don't book this hotel. That was three separate bookings all messed up in three hours, not just a one-off experience. On the plus side, Hotels.com were incredible. I cannot fault their customer service!

  Well located friendly hotel

  This wasn't the planned hotel but proved to be a good alternative. Located five minutes from the night market with easy accessibility to a number of other sites around LP, I was able to get around easily. The steps at the front of the hotel are ridiculously steep so use the somewhat hidden flight to the left side of the entrance My room was clean and quiet; breakfast was basic with fresh fruit and the usual temperamental toaster. Staff were charming, polite and helpful. It does have wi-fi but only reliable in Reception for texts, nothing more demanding.
