  Good hotel although a bit old-fashioned.

  The location of the hotel is fantastic, just in front of the Hintertuxer Gletscher (12 min walking), so it has great views. The hotel is very quiet and familiar. The breakfast has many options and the food for dinner is quite good. The pool and sauna are ok, bit old but with good views to relax after trekking or skying. The bad things: I didn´t like at all the mattress of my bed (single room with no views). It was a spring mattress and I felt the springs on my back every night. The hotel is a bit old fashioned. The hair dryer stopped every 5 minutes, so for women it is difficult.

  Service is just getting worse.

  I have visited this hotel many times over the last 15 years. The service was top notch. Food, although predictable, was served well I stayed here the 1st week in November 2019. Its just awful. Where to start. Well its obvious that the mother, the matriarch, has retired. She would never have put up with this level of service. The rooms: they need a real serious overhaul. Really in need of an upgrade. The rooms are sweltering and any attempts to turn down the heating just do not work. Slept with the balcony windows open during a blizzard. The bar: The Barman that used to be here was excellent he could serve 3 or 4 people at once. Now? Good luck getting served within 5!minutes even in an empty bar and when your order is taken expect to wait another 5-10 minutes for it to arrive. I ordered the house wine. You could smell it was off when he poured it. He was not happy that I asked for it to be changed only for him to serve the same wine to a fellow guest who also told him to take it back. The restaurant staff did us a favour by serving us. English was not their strongest language but, as a German speaker, their German was not very good either. The maitreD is Hungarian and has obviously brought in his own people. Almost to much trouble to try and get something different. The food is plentiful but year after year its the same thing. Breakfast is excellent. The evening meal can take 2 hours. All in all after 15 years I wont be returning that for sure.

  Hintertux Ski Accomodation

  For a first time visit to the Hintertux ski area 14 of us stayed at the Badhotel Kirchler. This is a charming traditional style hotel and epitomises traditional hospitality- from post skiing snacks to the efficient and well organised dining room. The dining room provided wholesome, varied and copious meals - enough to keep active skiers fully charged. Prices are reasonable and associated discounts with the neighbouring ski shop well worth using .

  Wonderful hotel for skiing vacation

  Delicious breakfast with fresh bread, juice and fruits, quiet hotel, perfect location to reach by car and get to the slopes by the free ski bus. Lunch and dinner didnt include that many vegetarian options, but otherwise there was lots of good options to eat!

  Solid Hotel in Hintertux

  We stayed for two nights to visit the Hintertux Glacier and the surrounding mountains. The hotel is solid and a bit dated, but very well kept and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The spa is a bit old, and the Sauna area is completely underground (no windows), but the swimming pool is really big with a great view. The hotel is located conveniently in the center of Hintertux, 5 minutes from the gondola station.
