Great ski condoStayed there a week from X'mas to New Year. Pretty easy to book online and with most of the essentials prearranged like Lift Pass, Airport Transfers etc. Someone greeted us at the bus stop followed by a prompted check-in. We had a 2 bedroom with the 3 of us, lounge area was large and with good sized bedrooms and ensuite bathroom. Deco was contemporary and clean. Just around the corner from supermarket; and booking comes with a ski valet at the gondola base which makes the daily commute relatively painless. The only reason why I didn't rate a 5 star is that i would have prefer they offered some arrangement to give us a lift to the lift area. Niseko United does run buses up and down Hirafu but the queue is generally long during morning and sunset; so we ended up hauling our gear and walked there and back on the first and last day. Not too far of a track, say 15 mins, but with gears on your back, it could be a bit tiring. I also would advice traveller to book their restaurants for dinner well in advance, nothing to do with Kira Kira per se, just because of how busy it is in Niseko during peak ski seasons

Kira Kira - 2017 Winter WonderlandI stayed in the Kira Kira penthouse with my family of 4 adults and 2 children for 5 nights over the 2017 Christmas period. 3 spacious bedrooms, a big bathroom plus a good sized ensuite for the bedroom on the top floor. The living room was a great size and there was everything we needed to make our own meals. There is a drying area down stairs plus full washing and drying facilities. Staff were great and attended to our queries very quickly from providing extra towels, booking taxis, clearing the snow from the deck area and even dropping us off to our dinner bookings. The deck was huge although we didn't see it for the first few days as there was so much snow!!! First world problems I know. There was literally meters of snow built up. However Keiron from Hokkaido Tracks was great and had his staff clear away an area so they kids could build a snow man for Christmas and play in the snow. The next day, the local guys come and cleared away the whole deck for us. It was outstanding to over look the Hirafu area at night with snow falling around us. The hot tub was a must for our accommodation and it did not let us down. The short path to the hot tub was always cleared and the tub sat at a very comfortable 38-40 degrees Celsius. We used the tub every single night, even when it was blowing a gale outside and the snow was falling horizontally, the tub was still hot the and champagne was resting in the snow next to us. Bliss! Location wise everything is close and I mean everything. We did not ski this trip but there are shuttles that run all the time from down the road. There is a supermarket (food and department store - a bit like a Big W or similar) up the way (short taxi ride) and we purchased everything we needed when we arrived. Seicomatt is a very short walk from Kira Kira and has all the basic essentials you need (hand warmers, milk, bread, beer, wine, fruit, pre made meals, chips, lollies.....etc) We booked through Zekkei Collection on line. I was unable to find any reviews for Zekkei at all so we were initially nervous booking this way. However Debbie Wong from Zekkei Collection was FANTASTIC. She answered every question we had about the property. Zekkei also arrange for us a limousine transfer from Sapporo airport to Kira Kira. If you are thinking of staying at Kira Kira, I highly recommend booking through Zekkei Collection as they really were a hassle free way to book accommodation. One tip: ALWAYS pre arrange your dinner reservations. They book out fast, even months before you arrive. Zekkei Collection emailed me regularly in the lead up to our trip and we booked 2 places about 8 weeks before we arrived. 1) Ebisuiti was great 2) An Dining was superb. It is located in another hotel but the food was incredible. 3) Niseko Gourmet was a local business and we ordered a Christmas Hamper which was delivered to our room Christmas Eve. There was everything we needed to make for a great Christmas Day meal. In all I would highly recommend Kira Kira. It was on the pricey side, there is no question. But for the 6 of us, it provided a great space for 5 days and we did not feel we were living on top of each other. We had a huge deck, the kids had snow ball fights with us, the view over the town was stunning and we had a huge hot tub. If there was one thing missing, I would say a fire place (even a gas one). There is nothing like watching the snow fall sitting in front of a fire place.

Excellent spacious apartments in a great locationThis was our second time to Niseko (first time was 6 years ago). We were a group of 14 made up of 3 families. On each floor there is a 3 bed apartment and a studio apartment, we had the 2nd and 3rd floors for our entire group and it worked brilliantly. Great basement area for ski and boot storage. The Hokkaido Tracks staff were excellent and organised transfers to and from the lifts each day. You can walk, it's about 10 mins and uphill, but why walk when there is a mini van available. Hokkaido Tracks staff also pre-booked 4 different restaurants for us and it was great to have these sorted prior to our arrival as being such a large group it can be difficult getting bookings at short notice. The apartments are quite spacious and well located in the upper village, with no more than a 10 min walk to any of the restaurants or bars. The kitchens are well equipped as are the laundry facilities. Would highly recommend.

Great Stay!Great family option! The Kira Kira team handled all the bookings for ski lessons, ski equipment, transportation, restaurants and massage! The apartment itself is super comfortable so much so the kids looked forward to spending evenings indoors with apple tv etc...Really helpful and welcoming staff especially Aya and Fabian, set the tone for the entire stay!

Fabulous Stay!Location is easily located. The place is big, and utensils are availble for use if you are whipping up a dish. Check-in is an easy process, as front desk communicates English, makes sure your stay is an comfortable, cosy one. Need help? A call, or Whatsapp wil do. By the way, they also have snow kits storage for you if you have ski activities later on. Definitely recommended friends or anyone to Kira Kira Suites if coming to Niseko! Report
