Superb serviceWe stayed at Kinross Cottages as part of our Queenstown Basin cycle tour. We were treated to a wonderful wine tasting with Florian - so knowledgeable and interesting. Next stop was dinner at the Bistro where Tristan gave us excellent service - food and wine were perfectly described.

Special place to visitWonderful location and fantastic cottages. The wine tasting with Florian was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. I recommend you do this on your stay. The Dinner was superb, and Tristan who served us was a delight. This young man was enthusiastic, knowledgeable on his wine and food and was very helpful about the region. I would highly recommend a visit to Kinross.

Simply outstanding ... there's not much more to be said! It's rare when I write reviews on Trip Advisor that I feel both the place and its staff are outstanding, but Kinross Cottages certainly is a standout of the many places we've stayed in Queenstown and elsewhere. Kinross Cottages is an idyllic place to stay surrounded by many other vineyards in the Gibbston Valley, looked down on by mountain ranges front and back, maybe 10-15 walk to the Gibbston River Trail and stunning views of the Kawerau River. It's also an easy 20- 25 minute drive from Queenstown Airport. We were on a Luxury Escapes five-day package and stayed in Ruins 2, which I think is the 'must go to' place if you want to be at the end of the line, like privacy and enjoy a walk to and from breakfast, the wine tasting or dinner. Our stay and experience were textbook tourism stuff that many of Kinross Cottages' competitors in the Queenstown accommodation and tourism sector could learn from. The food particularly the Valentines Day salmon dish, wine tastings, staff, accommodation and vineyard setting exceeded our expectations and was certainly worth the wait and frustrations of getting there because of COVID-19. The accommodation is very good - comfortable bed, lovely chairs, good pressure in the shower and everything you need for self-catering. The cottage was also very, very clean - so top marks! Also, a pleasant change to have more than three tea bags or coffee sachets, so thank you for that. And we loved feeding the ducks on the way to breakfast or the wine tastings, and watching the rabbits frolicky in the evening over a glass of wine; and the magpie in the morning. We had a fantastic time, chilling with lots of downtime looking over the mountains and down the rows of vines, but what well remember most is the friendliness of the staff, how happy they were working and the outstanding service. Charlotte, the Hotel and Events Coordinator was so customer focussed and patient in making our visit happen when it almost fell over in early December and over the past year with several false starts because of COVID-19. Wed like to think that in time well be back. Till then m te w.

KInross visit was the highlight of our holiday in QueenstownMy partner and I visited Kinross on Thursday 4th of March, for a wine tasting and lunch. From the moment we arrived we were treated to a wonderful welcome and experience. We had a very amazing wine tasting experience with Florian, who had an in depth knowledge of the lovely wines we tasted as well as providing history of the area. After the tasting which was held in a private room we enjoyed our lunch in a beautiful out door area. At all times we received very professional and friendly service. We joined the wine club, and look forward to receiving our wine. Next time we visit Queenstown we intend to visit Kinross again and stay a night or two in the cottages. Thank you to all staff who made our day so special.

Lovely vineyard breakLovely relaxing stay at Kinross overlooking the vines. Comfortable spacious cottage, great hospitality and perfect venue for a bike to Arrowtown and back during the afternoon. Enjoyed huge open fire with glass of wine, great coffee and yummy breakfast included. Thanks to all the friendly efficient staff!
