  Terrible experience

  We had so many problems from arrival. The room was not ready after almost 5pm when finally there we couldnt even enter the room because a heavy smoke, it was impossible to breathe. The second day we woke up to no water or electricity because the condo had been sold and they were transferring The services to their new owners... we had to leave the room until the afternoon! They only offered 50 off. Worse experience ever!

  Kingsmill is wonderful!

  Between the condo we were in, the care taken around Covid-related safety, and the views all about the resort, I couldn't have been happier with my stay. Even though the weather wasn't the best, the James River is such an awe-inspiring thing to see in the morning. As someone who lives in the suburbs, close to a heavily populated city, it's not something I'm accustomed to waking up and seeing very easily. The food delivery service on resort is also a plus! And the condo had a nice fireplace we could relax next to.

  Girlfriends Staycation

  We absolutely loved this resort. Everything was immaculate and I cant wait to go back. The atmosphere and the weather was just what we needed to relax, release and be refreshed. This is a jewel in Williamsburg

  Anniversary Trip - 2nd year in a row

  We just got back from a one night stay for celebrating our wedding anniversary. This is the second year in a row we have celebrated at Kingsmill. Stephen helped me with our reservation and we had a one bedroom river condo in the Anderson's Ordinary section, on the second floor. We had the Firewood and Frills package. Although it was raining most of the time, we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We picked up dinner curbside nearby and enjoyed a movie by the fire for the evening. The view from the balcony was very nice and the unit was very clean, quite spacious and had plenty of windows and light. The walk in shower was great and the bed and pillows were so comfy, The remote controls were in plastic bags which was a nice added protective aspect. We added a late checkout of 5 pm so we could enjoy sleeping in and not be rushed to checkout. Our stay was quiet, we did not notice noise from any neighboring units. We did not use the workout area, pool etc., so I can't speak for any of those things this time around. Kingsmill is very nice and we will most likely be back next year.

  Mediocre at best which was surprising!

  Ive been to Kingsmill many times in the past, and perhaps because of COVID-19 the resort was just not as it used to be. We arrived 2/13 and literally rushed to leave by 2/14 am. It was snowy when we arrived on 2/13/2021 in the evening around 7:55pm the restaurants were closing at 8pm so we were out of luck. The desk person gave us a map of the town, however after settling in we immediately hurried out to get food after driving over 3hrs in the snow to get there. Disappointment, the places they suggested were closed, the town closed and Kingsmill served nothing for weary guests after7:55pm. So we fortunately found a Wendys and returned to the room only to find the toilet didnt work either...wow! And, theyve changed the mattresses, which used to be pillow-tops like a 4 star to regular mattresses and pillows. The sleeping experience I used to have at Kingsmill was gone! The bed with just regular now...this trip, nothing special and given the cost would have been nice like many hotels to be able to order food upon arrival and some semblance of room service, but the icing on the cake was they sent a survey a few days later. I shared my disappointment and crickets...no response or acknowledgement at all. We were totally disappointed that we didnt even receive feedback. Very disappointed.
