A great beach holidayThese units are privately owned so the furnishings vary Our unit on 5th floor was very comfortable. The views were amazing looking out on crystal clear water at Kings beach and just wandering down to the beach 2mins walk was great. it was very good value for money going in the week after schools had gone back.

Good value accommodation on the sunshine coastWe stayed 4 nights, found the location excellent, close to beach, restaurants etc. unit had everything we needed, plenty of space, clean, only downside, unit was showing its age a bit, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend it.

Disappointed by incorrect advertising of apartment! (Based on unit we stayed in)This unit was advertised as an "OCEAN VIEW" Hot Deal both on the Kings Row Direct website and on Agoda which we booked through. Being familiar with kings Row Accommodation, when I saw the OCEAN VIEW offer I knew there would be a lovely ocean view in any unit from the second level upward, we were really looking forward to our holiday and relaxing in these lovely units. Id like to give a more accurate description of this apartment, to help others avoid the disappointment we felt of finding out that the booking we made did not match what was advertised. This unit is located on the GROUND floor, and has a black privacy screen along the front of the outdoor courtyard as it faces directly onto the carpark. There is NO ocean view from anywhere inside the apartment or from any part of the courtyard that forms part of the structure of the main building. There is however, a 1.5 metre additional tiled area that forms part of the courtyard outside the main structure of the building which is not screened and has a limited view of the ocean in between parked cars, telephone wires and a large red shrub. This area also sits out from the rest of the building, so the air conditioning spouts from all the other units are positioned directly above and dripped condensation overflow constantly during our stay. The unit itself has a modern layout, is very spacious and comfortable and we did make the most of our stay and enjoy the time at the beach. The outdoor area has plenty of furniture, we dined outdoors mostly and it was enjoyable. There was a bar table and chairs provided and we did sit out, have a drink and look out upon the ocean in the afternoons. Proximity to town and the beach is very good and you can walk everywhere easily. A few things that should be mentioned are: This apartment is probably a little noisier than others, due to traffic in the carpark, the intercom for the Main Entry being located directly on the outside wall of the second bedroom and the Lift Access located directly opposite the Unit Entry. If you have hip, leg problems or are just a shorter person 160cm high like myself, the ensuite shower / hot tub is all in one and measures 70cm high. I could hardly step over it and had to impose on our friends to share the main shower which thankfully has a normal set-out. The main bedroom door is a set of 3 folding white opaque plastic inset with light timber surrounds that wasnt very effective in offering privacy as it would often pop open and wouldnt latch properly, didnt offer any sound proofing, something to take into account if you are sharing with others and seemed to let a lot of light in during the night. The fridge door failed to seal properly and when closing the door, it would open again. Also, when closing the freezer door, the fridge door would again open of its own accord. This is something that can be easily repaired with a bit of maintenance once addressed. The outdoor sliding security screen between the main bedroom and the lounge room didnt lock and there were no insect / security screens on the ensuite and bathroom windows. Hopefully this review will provide a bit of truthful insight to balance all the inflated wording that is too often used to advertise properties.

Great location to Kings BeachDecided to get away from Brisbane at the last minute and were lucky enough to find this accommodation. Great location to the beach. We stayed on the fourth floor which had a fantastic view of the beach. Plenty of space for a family of four. The apartments are privately owned and I think the one we stayed in needed a bit of an update. Although the linen was clean it looked like it could do with a replacement. Bowls, plates etc.. needed a wash before we ate off them. I'm sure this was from the last person staying in the apartment but I feel it should have been checked. The pool area was the only let down. All together it was worth the stay and I would stay again.

A Room with a View...sort ofThe apartment and location were fine. Good balcony but the view was ruined by the power/comms cables directly in front - and this after I had requested an upgrade to a room with a 'better view'. The road IS noisy, with lots of big-boy exhausts roaring past all hours and early bin collections every day. Disappointed about the lack of WiFi, a must these days. The host, Denis, was trying to get something sorted, but did not in the 10 days we were there. My wife didn't appreciate being called 'that cranky English woman' by Denis's wife when she phoned to ask if there was any progress. We still had fun, and the SC is still a favourite destination. Not sure if Kings Row will be our next stay though, unless some changes are made.
