Very poor and overpricedMy husband and I spent 3 nights in the hotel and we were disappointed. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and mindful of coved restrictions. The rooms were tired and need decorating and the bathrooms (we upgraded to a superior room) felt grubby with black mould on grouting and mirror lights not working which made it too dark for make up etc. There was no wifi at all and each day we were told this would be remedied today but never was.

Lovely place to have a drink outsideThe hotel has a nice beer garden at the back of the hotel and a few tables at the front of the hotel. Great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. They also have a good cocktail menu with 2 for £10 at certain times.

Berwick upon TweedA local hotel in a central location, with a great history.Lobby is nicely decorated & Free WiFi available.entrance at rear for mobility guests & heavy luggage.Lounge cafe for guests only, only takes cash-ridiculous?Bar is comfortable & well decorated with good service.Room is good size with tv/desk/free tea/coffee facilities. However central heating broke down & room was cold so asked for a heater.Tv Reception was erratic so that had to be fixed.Bathroom is modern with walk in shower however toilet flush panel on wall was missing?Breakfast is ok with hot items cooked to order, but no cereal.Dinner menu seems restricted with quality of food average with luke warm vegetables.Disappointing.

Great hotel and staff amazingAfter reading some bad reviews I wasnt sure what to expect from this hotel however I have to say that I wasnt disappointed at all. The hotel was clean and the rooms where to a good standard. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, who couldnt do enough for you. Friendly, both in the bar and restaurant. Even the bar man printed some history about the building. I would recommend.
