  Great location and great value

  The building is an older building. Some reviewer said that hotel staff don't speak English well, but we can speak Chinese and had no problem. For the price and location, this hotel is a great value. The breakfast is great, and has many choice of Chinese food. The location is great, only 5-10 min walk to city center, Bell Tower, 15 min to muslin street. 10 min Walk to city wall. The staff are very friendly. They didn't receive notice from Booking.com on time, but they upgrade our room to a suite for one night. Every room has two apples and 2 milk packs at afternoon.

  Local hotel in a central location

  KTN1H is a local hotel and as one would expect, great value but do bear with greater decibel contribution from other guests. Besides Chinese tea in lovely cups, I love the fact that they provide an apple and a packet of milk in the room every day for every guest nice gesture. The real gems in KTN1H are the 2 restaurants the less elaborate one on the ground floor while the other more refined setting is where youd normally have your breakfast. There is nothing touristy about both outlets here youd find local diners enjoying their food wholeheartedly. Not a place for a quiet meal but one where youd choose good food over atmosphere. In the morning before 10 AM, Nanliu Xiang Street Market across the road is a wonderful place to explore just to watch the locals go about their daily routine of grocery shopping.

  good location

  for westerners travelling to Xian china this would be classed as a budget hotel i m my opinion.its location is very good, close to the bell and drum towers, close to the muslim quarter and close to the south gate of the old city walls. all these are within walking distance and it is well placed if you intend to do shopping with big brand store within walking distance too. restaurant within the hotel is good, serving a variety of local cuisine and other parts of china, if you select breakfast with your stay the restaurant has a different breakfast menu every morning with a mix of chinese and some western foods.service in the hotel is good, room sizes are not small and depending on which floor you are on will determine the fit out as the hotel is upgrading rooms on all floors gradually.there is no fridge in any rooms and if you need a safe 1 can be requested, you get fresh fruit and water in each room daily.hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, most do have some command of the english language and will try their best if they have limited english. we plan to come back to Xian again and will more than likely stay here again as overall the atmosphere of the hotel is good so are the staff and the location.

  Modern european hotel in lively city center

  Positives: +room was huge with view over a lively street, we loved it +bed extremely wide and comfy, big plushy pillows and sheets +room in very nice modern european style, for this price it was very good +every day new water bottles, apples and lemonades brought to our room even if we didnt finish the ones from yesterday. In the end we had 6 lemonades in our room! :D +hotel had a security guard/doorman at the front door 24/7. They were all very nice and professional +Hotel reception area was good with free water bottles that you can take +Hotel had washing and drying machines that you could use yourself. You need to bring your own laundry soap, we got one from a store nearby for 5.5 rmb +hotel location was very good, in the middle of city center, great restaurants nearby +the south gate of Xian city wall was max 5 minute walk from hotel +metro was 5 minute walk away Negatives: -hotel lied about accepting foreign bank cards, we had mastercard but still had to go out and get cash to pay for our stay. Hotel was not apologetic about it at all, showed no remorse, I doubt that they will change their ways. If you read other reviews you notice that others have had the same issue. -hotel workers speak almost no english, but with translation apps we managed but they were more annoyed by it than us, not friendly service. -hotel asked for 300 rmb cash deposit, its not mentioned in the booking -room was very nice and modern but a bit rundown, water damage in bathroom, but for this price its no issue

  Great hotel

  Really good location near to Xian bell tower and drum tower. Just up the street are lots of nice restaurant Easy walking distance to city walls and Muslim quarter where we took Lost Plate Food Tour - really good! The hotel room had everything you could need and was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is a mixture of Chinese and western food with tea coffee and juice, all of which was fine. The hotel reception is on the fourth floor not the 2nd (this is the restaurant floor!). The staff were all really helpful and friendly - one receptionist saw us filling up water bottles at the dispenser and quickly brought us new bottled water. Highly recommend for relaxing quiet stay in a beautiful city
