A wonderful return visitI have to start this review by saying that we have been going to The King Minos Palace, off and on, for about 20 years and feel part of the King Minos family. Because that's what it is, a family. From the Hotel Manager, Alexis, who came into reception to greet us when we arrived with smiles and "Chris, Mary, it's great to see you again", right through to Manolis in the bar that night who brought our drinks without us even having to order although it's five years since we were last there. I wanted to write a review this time to mention the fantastic job they are doing there at the moment under very difficult circumstances. Obviously, with Covid-19 restrictions in place, things were a little different but ALL the staff did there level best to see that it had the least impact possible on the guests. The food as ever was excellent and buffet style although served to you by ever helpful, smiling staff. Now the hotel itself. Beautifully appointed, the rooms are very comfortable and the air con. was excellent. I can't say enough about the swimming pool, without a doubt The best hotel pool I have ever seen. We had booked seven nights but decided once we were there to extend it to ten because of everything I've already mentioned. It would be unfair to single out any member of staff as they were all excellent but I must mention George, the daytime bar keeper, Athina, in the dining room and Nina on the reception desk. Thanks everyone for a most relaxing and enjoyable stay ... We'll be back as soon as we can ...

Great Hotel - with only the food dropping it from a 5 to a 4If you're looking for a stay in Hersonnisos, the King Minos Palace is a good choice We booked for 7 days in September and due the pandemic we didn't see the hotel in full swing, but it was busy A little outside of the resort centre, the guides say 1km - but in truth it's around 1 mile - you get the peace and quiet of the hotel with a busy centre on your doorstep With the clientele being predominantly over 50 there wasn't any noisy residents late at night Our apartment was a seaview and we made the perfect choice - it was bliss for sitting outside after hotel bar had closed and having a nightcap The staff was superfriendly throughout from reception to the restaurant and the bar The pool we were always able to get a bed beside, although I suspect there might be a rush for beds in a normal year For people with no special dietary requirements the breakfasts would have been plentiful, but as a vegan some of the choices on offer for breakfast were a little bizarre from carrots to sweetcorn and sprouts. And on the one night we dined in at the restaurants the choices for vegans were limited The food perhaps is the only thing that makes this a 4 rather than a 5 But other than that - a great stay

Great Hotel In HersonissosHaving previously been to Hersonissos albeit 32 years ago's I was looking forward to visiting again after all these years. We and a friend chose the King Minos Palace Hotel and I thoroughly recommend it. We asked for a sea view and we got the perfect sea view overlooking the town. I loved the breakfast buffet in the morning, a varied choice to go for. The pool is huge and the sunbed area around has plenty to choose from. One thing that did strike me about the hotel is the staff, from the front desk to the pool bar to the girl arranging activities around the pool, everyone was really friendly.
