  Simply amazing!

  Staff were attentive, view was spectacular, and the Nephenthes suite was amazing! It was quite chilly at night but they have a heater and a fireplace which was quite cute and functional. I would definitely return one day!

  A little disappointed

  I still give 4 stars because of the beautiful Villa where I stayed - The Nephentis Villa. And also for the great surrounding of the Kinabalu Mountain National Park. Unfortunately I can see a decay in quality year after year and, if it will continue, I will probably choose a different destination, maybe I will try the Sutera Lodges in Pouring Hot Spring.... Main problems during my stay were: Restaurant overpriced and quality of the food medium-low..... You do not expect this kind of service from a place like Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. The restaurant is not at the same level as the rest of the Hotel services... please do not eat there, go out and eat in Kundasang or Ranau, You will eat better and You will save lot of money. The Villa that I rented had a problem with hot water of the shower, not enough hot water for 4 people to take shower. Wifi in the Villa was nonexistent... fast as it was in 1970...!! not a problem for us because we have mobile data connection but, it is good to know that you cannot trust this service that is advertised in the characteristics of the room you rent. Last but not least, I got the email of the manager from the lobby and I wrote a complaint to him/her, but seems they have no interest in keep good maintenance of the place and have no interest in keeping customers as no reply never came from anyone. such a pity to see such a beautiful place, getting worse year after year... Hope this decay can be stopped in time

  Lovely place to stay.... Everything about the room was nice..... Only 2 items need improvement.... room service never came... and the dining options was very-very limited. But there are restaurants outside the park... so no problem.

  Still waiting for refund after 9months

  I booked to stay in April 2020 and due to Covid the borders were closed and travel was prohibited to persons outside. I was promised a refund and told it could take 6 months. Here we are 9 months later and still no refund and emails go unanswered. Posting this is my last resort to get the managers to deal with my complaint.

  Great Courtesy Service from Sutera Sanctuary Liwagu Suite

  I rarely review my stay, but this one I had to. Very satisfied with sutera sanctuary staff that are so welcoming..at first I got lost finding Liwagu Restaurant for check in, but met one of the staff at the road and she was very helpful to show us the way..check in experience at Liwagu, we were welcome so heartwarming and its light up our first impression of our stay..the morning of our last day here, we were so tired and sleepy, so we woke up so late that we had no enough time to prepare for breakfast, as we know breakfast only last till 10am but we only woke up at 9.30, so we just accept that we missed our breakfast. But later the staff coming at our suite and asking bout our breakfast and offer to deliver it to our room. They bring all the food that were offer at breakfast lounge to our door, yes not only main course meal. We are very happy for their courtesy service. Thank you so much.
