  Hello Kimberley

  The rooms were neat, lovingly furnished, with a very comfortable bed. Service was as one would require, and the attention from the owner was very much appreciated. She is ever present and makes sure that everything is going well. Parking is a bit cramped, but not a problem if all visitors cooperate. I would really recommend this guest house to anyone.

  Stay over

  We enjoyed our stay. Everything was well organized. rooms was very clean. Bathroom was clean only thing missing is a shelf in the shower to but your soap , shampoo etc. on while showering and a hook for your facecloth. Breakfast was well prepared and served.

  Visit to Kimberly

  This was a lovely guesthouse experience, such friendly staff and so accommodating. If I ever have to travel to Kimberly again, I will stay at Kimberly Manor Guesthouse. It was a home away from home! Thank You!

  Too expensive for what is offered

  The furnishings seem expensive - and maybe this is what is recovered in the price. I have only seen online advertisements referring to spacious rooms with balconies but I got a room with no window. (It was changed thank you, but the fact is it was deemed appropriate at a rate of almost R1 000 for one person). The staff tried hard and was friendly, but I am still waiting for the coffee I ordered with breakfast. Similar to another review I find the child-like rules of "no food in the room" sad. The fridge in the room was switched off and not clean. The linen and towels have known better days. No drinking water in the room (fridge switched off?). A limited supply of coffee/tea with a chipped mug. The kettle can only reach the electrical plug if put on the floor. Everything would have been bearable at half the price. If tourists believe this is appropriate due to stronger currencies I am happy for them. Imagine how cheap their holiday could really be if this was priced appropriate for what is offered. Not a place suitable for a business trip. No space to work.

  Old charm gone wrong

  Old charm gone wrong This was a wonderful guesthouse in the past and we have stayed there many times. The first thing that alerted us that something was amiss, was that it was impossible to get through to the guesthouse on the phone. So I had to book through Booking.com to make a reservation. It turns out that the guesthouse does not have staff after 17:00 and at 18:00 oclock our family friend came to visit us and called the intercom as he had left his phone at home. The owner of the guesthouse, who lives on the property, began to swear and threaten our guest with police because he was trespassing on his territory and this was interfering with his evening plans. Then he very roughly and rudely kicked out our friend onto the street and walked to our room where my wife was by herself and started screaming at her that he will open a police case. This was really frightening for all of us as we were the only guests at the guesthouse at the time and we were not warned that we couldn't have a family friend come visit to say hello when we're passing through town. We packed our bags up immediately and left as we were too scared to stay at the guest house since it was only us and the owner on the property. We had to drive and look for new accommodation so we felt safe, there was space at the Protea Mariott where we knew no one would be screaming at us at 7pm in the evening. Really unfortunate as this used to be a lovely place to stop over but will stick to the main hotels from now on.
