  Disappointing

  We went for afternoon tea, our son and daughter-in-law had bought this as a Christmas Present. The staff where quite attentive, however the food left a lot to be desired. We chose the Savoury menu, the food was to say the least tasteless. The Cheese scones had no cheese in them, these came with a small plate of sweet pickle, and a round of butter the size of a 10 pence piece, that was meant for 4 scones and for 2 people! Then we have the sandwiches, the Ham & Smoked Salmon where OK, but we could not tell what was meant to be in the other two, we presumed that they where meant to be Egg & Cress and the other one Cucumber the fillings they just looked as though they had been buttered and nothing else. We where also served something that looked like a Scotch Egg, when these where cut into they had a white filling and also where tasteless. I have to say on the bright side which made me smile was a tiny piece of Egg & Pork pie which took me back to my childhood days. The Smoked Salmon and Blinis and the Pate with Picked Walnut was delicious. So £60 as ours came with the White Sparking Wine was what was meant to be a real treat turned out to be a real disappointment. Sorry Kilworth House we will not be returning again.

  Please never change!

  We visited here last week - our eighth or ninth visit I think! As usual, a warm welcome, delightful bedroom, comfortable beds, super food, well trained staff! What's not to love? I hope it will stay this way for a very long time..........

  Overnight stay

  We stayed at Kilworth to break up our long journey from Yorkshire to South of London. The room was absolutely beautiful - light, bright and very clean. The bathroom was exceptionally spacious and sooo luxurious. The staff were very helpful and attentive and were there to support all our needs. We stayed for the evening meal - which was beautiful - and for breakfast. Both meals catered well for my husband's gluten allergy and the food was wonderfully cooked and very tasty indeed. We will definitely be returning again!

  Stunning

  We have just returned from a weekend away at kilworth House. Absolutely stunning. Every room held its own opulent beauty. I couldn't stop taking photos. The service was amazing and the room we stayed in was glorious, overlooking the grounds. One member of staff, a waiter called Nick was fantastic. He was exceedingly professional and we could see he took pride in his job, nothing too much trouble.Checking we enjoyed our food etc. Claridges would be proud to have him!keep up the good work. High recommend this hotel and will return in the future.

  Lacklustre and Poor Afternoon Tea

  Just before lockdown. a poor afternoon tea with stale sandwiches and a poor cake selection. no hot water pot with the tea and the 2 staff more interssted in chatting to each other. once again another overpriced hotel in Leicester trading on the location and older clientele who are there but do not know why they are there? Waste of money
