    Explore somewhere different

Staying in this hotel was very different to other areas and hotels we stayed in Tokyo. It was a good location in the fact it was so close to a large shopping area, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel has shops, bakery and 10 pin bowling centre onsite. The hotel buffet breakfast was great! Unfortunately the hotel rooms were a little old and still used actual keys. There was no ice machines in the hotel either. The photos online make this hotel look much fancy then it actually is, the only impressive part was the decor in the restaurant to make it look like hotel rooms overlooked it but they were all just decorations and no rooms had a view. Hotel was overpriced for what it was and its location being so far out.

    Great Location - Modern Facilities

Our room was twin room on the 4th floor facing the indoor atrium, stayed here for 9 days. The room was on the small side, which is typical for most Japanese business hotels, but was nicely appointed. Hotel staffs was very professional, friendly & helpful. Their onsite restaurants are excellent. Buffet breakfast is served at the Atrium location and had both Japanese and western dishes. For dinner, we tried the upscale Teppan Yaki restaurant onsite and their wagyu beef was simply out of this world. Teppan Chef Kazuya Mihara was very nice and explained each dishes as he prepared them in front of us. Price was reasonable considering we ordered a wagyu beef & service was excellent, if this was in U.S. it would of been double or even more! Location: This hotel is very close to many shops & restaurants. Sunroad is just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Family Mart (convenience store) is just 2 doors down so you can stock up on drinks or snack items & place them in your in-room fridge. Major department store, Tokyu is about 5 minutes walk. Kichijoji train station is about 10 minute walk. Don't forget the side streets BEHIND the hotel, that street and the street behind that has very nice cozy restaurants, hair salons, etc. Overall experience at this hotel was very good and will come back again, as well as recommend to my friends & family. The airport Limo bus from Haneda or Narita doesn't service this hotel directly but rather passengers are dropped off at Kichijoji train station. From there, you can walk about 10 minutes or so, or take a taxi if you have a lot of luggage.

First Time in my life that the reception announce me that room for smokers are not available

Although I have great respect for the japanese people and especially their efficiency, politeness and hygiene: this is the first time I had to sleep in a smokers room; This is absolutely not in Japan. The hotel needs a complete update. In old europe this hotel would not even be rated with a one star and not even mentioned in the guide Michelin.

Pictures better than the real thing

Was trying to decide between this and the Tokyu REI and decided on this since the pictures looked just a bit less boring than the cookie cutter business hotel ala Daiwa Roynet and Richmond. In this case however, the pictures were definitely better than the real thing. The location is 500 meter walk from the train station. Lots of shopping and eating around. Rooms are tinier and older than expected and what's worse is that I cannot get fresh air since windows open to the atrium with food smell. Thankfully noise level from atrium does not reach the rooms. Wifi works fine. Very competent service from the front desk. Haven't really gone out to explore Kichijoji yet, but if I return here, I dont think I will stay at this hotel again.

Stayed to watch Rugby World Cup game nearby

We stayed this side of the Stadium hoping the access to and from the game would be less chaotic than if we'd stayed the Tokyo city side. The reception staff were efficient and friendly. We were walking distance to some great little restaurants and bars and also the nearby bus station. A pre-booked airport bus to Narita was well worth the comfort of not needing to change trains several times. Again, the rooms were typically small, but at least there was room to open our suitcases without having them on the bed!
