    Recomendado

    Relaxing place!

We stayed in one of the tents on the lake's edge. The tents are beautifully appointed and no detail has been spared: very comfortable room, nice furniture including a desk, beautifully appointed bathroom, bathrobe, sleepers and minibar. From the veranda, you can see and hear the hippos and see many, many birds. The waterbucks are roaming all around you. There is a la carte food service in the small restaurant on the lake side or the buffet on the main country club building. Food a la carte was superb, really a 5 star menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the guards even came to pick us up at night to see the hippos that are roaming the park (extremely dangerous and forbidden to walk on your own after dark); it was an exhilarating adventure (I felt a bit scared as you cannot see too much and was afraid the hippos might come behind us). During the day, you can take a boat to the Crescent Island where you can freely walk among giraffes, antelopes, zebras and the odd buffalo; also, there are many birds around, notably cormorant and pelicans

    Lovely place, great service

Stayed here for two nights in one of the tents on the water. What an experience! Fantastic levels of service, fantastic half board meals (definitely not a rushed service). There are only about eight or ten tents in Kiboko, arrange in two rows - the first row directly overlooking the water and the second row set back. Try to get one in the first row! I could lie in bed listening to hippos and fish eagles. Giraffe, buck and zebras wandered around the country club. Yes, it could do with a spruce up but that doesn't detract from the atmosphere. Make sure you do a boat trip. A special thanks to Samwell for looking after us and ensuring a pleasant stay. PS didn't hear any loud music as per another recent review!

The most scenic camp in Naivasha but indeed of some TLC

Kiboko is one of my favorite places in Naivasha. The camp is in close promixity to the lake and offers unrivaled views of Lake Naivasha. It's home to a group of Zebra and Waterbuck, who are regular visitors to the tents. It's uniqueness comes from being close to nature, the ever present call of the majestic Hippo and beautiful cry of the Fish Eagle will grace you throughout your stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The meals are good and timing is extremely flexible. I'd rate Kiboko a 5 save for the bed, the tents are also in need of some routine maintenance. The patchwork on the tents robs it of the Luxury status. Although really cozy the bed was the greatest disappointment and made for a very uncomfortable night. If they could do something about the mattress I'd give them a resounding 5.

    So close to the hippos

This was an unforgettable experience. We were in a tent right next to the water, and the hippos were literally just down below us, no more than a few yards away. You can sit on a sunlounger on your private veranda and watch them. We took a boat trip on the lake, but the boat spent most of the time on the water just outside out tent! We were actually much closer to them in our tent than we were on the boat. If you want to get close to hippos, and to sleep in a tent listening to their noise throughout the night, then this is definitely the place for you. I loved it. The food and hotel facilities were good, but to be honest this did not feel particularly relevant at the time, as I was so transfixed by all the hippos.
