  Good but not great option in Khao Lak

  Pros- For the price point this hotel good. Good beach for kids, clean rooms, and nice kids pool. Very friendly and helpful staff a fantastic location near several shops, bars and restaurants just steps out the door. Cons - internet was terrible. WiFi wouldnt connect and had to constantly be reconnected after dropping. Not sure how that happens in 2020. Breakfast has two locations, one near the sea which was quite nice, clean, and efficient. The second served the same food, but terrible quality, slow (omelet bar) and was a mess. A few other little things that were just not up to par - no drying line for wet suits, no towel exchange by the pool so we had the same beach towels for over a week, and no seaside umbrella chairs. Also no pool music despise a DJ stand. All Small things, but would have made the stay much better. Also in large family room, a pull divider or room shade/screen would have given a bit of privacy for adults and let kids watch late night movies. Overall, for the price point, it was ok. A good budget option to spend time on the beach.

  Vacation with family!

  Perfect destination for holidays with children (and even without) Good hotel, good service, nice staff. The hotel and restaurant are located next to the sea and it is convenient and close to everything you need. Long nice beach without sun loungers Highly recommended!!

  Nice enough hotel

  Very friendly staff renovated rooms are very nice the older once are still ok. Rooms are clean. The breakfast was not our taste. The Thai dishes were good, the best evening for food was the event in the Garden. Drink prices are a Little bit to high but they do have a Happy Hour which might be interesting for some. Overall not a bad stay considering for what we paid but we would not return.

  Getting older, but still charming

  Excellent position, perfect beach, very helpful staff. Ive been here about 13 years ago, when everything was rebuilt after the tsunami. Its still beautiful, but it got older, worn out, in some places even tired. Positives: the beach, the staff, the A/C, very clean everywhere Negatives: the road from the airport is undergoing massive repairs, the hotel-food-drinks are expensive, the rooms in Block 4 are tired (moved after one night from a room where the tv and telephone were not working to a next door room where the balcony door wouldnt lock), the beds and the pillows are too hard, there is only fixed American shower from above, the doors are banging, the cleaners are noisy early in the morning etc Surprisingly, there are a lot of Filipino staff (a positive). Many restaurants on the strip are Indian-run and this is reflected in the lack of authenticity of the food (a negative). Exception: Rhuan Thai - walk all the way to the main road and turn right; very tasty food, but long waiting (its always full). Majority of the tourists are German, Russian, Finnish. All in all, its not what it was in the past, but the beach and the attitude of the staff are compensating for all negatives.

  Nice hotel, nothing special

  We stayed at the hotel for two weeks with my boyfriend. The staff was really nice and helpful. We had couple of small problems with our room, and they were fixed in two minutes. The hotel are over all was nice and clean, room spacious and ac was efficient. The room was cleaned a little later than we were used to (sometimes after two o'clock) but that didn't bother us. What we did not enjoy was the lack of sunbeds and umbrellas to get you some shade. Also the hotel had only 4 toilets (2 for women and two for men) in a really large area around the two pools. Breakfast was avarage. A lot of it consisted of thai food, and I prefer traditional breakfast food. There was a nice egg station, where they cooked you omelettes etc. The restaurants and bars in the hotel area were quite expensive, and we didn't use them. One thing that we thought was not properly handled in the hotel was the workers cleanliness. We saw many of them use the same toilets as we did, and many of them did not clean their hands. During this time with a spreading korona virus around, this is un-accaptable. We hope the hotel notices the employees about this. Otherwise the hotel was nice, and well suited for families. I wouldn't recommend it for couples maybe. For the price that we paid we were quite satisfied, with couple of things that could be taken care of.
