  Quiet perfect paradise

  In Aug. 2016 I spent 3 weeks in Thailand. On my way to Kho Samui I stayed on this hotel and I became absolutely in love with the sightseeing. I promised myself I'd come back one day and so I did. I spent an absolutely quiet and wonderful week in this hotel, resting and enjoying the beach. This is the kind of hotel which is hidden on a real paradise beach. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest, away from the busy rush of shoppings, cities, night life, noise and traffic, this IS the right place to stay. The staff is incredibly nice and helpfull, they speak a modest english but enough to make us understand perfectly. Breakfast a la carte. There's a restaurant on the beach where you can order delicious Thay food, very fresh, cheap and tasty. There weren't many guests when I booked maybe because it was low season and for us that was an advantage because everything was very quiet, nothing but sea and nature all around. This hotel probably knew better days 10 or 15 years ago, but it's still fine for some resting days. There's a medium swimming pool but we never used it once the sea is so calm and the hotel is placed at the beach front. Free parking, excellent WI-FI on the spacious rooms with balconies with sea view. I'll surely come back again once I elected this one of my favourite beaches in Thailand. Quiet all around, fisherman boats and nature. The hotel is 25 Km south of Don Sak Pear if you plan to catch the ferry to Kho Samui and you have a car it's the perfect place to sleep before or after the trip to Kho Samui.

  Perfect peace

  This is a old, once elegant beautiful hotel on the beach, the hotel is charming and quiet, the staff are excellent, the breakfast is very good, the beach restaurant is very good with extensive menu and drinks and food are reasonably priced, the swimming pool is next to the beach and suitable for families. The room was a bit dated but very clean as was the toilet. The views are fantastic, the sea is clean as was the beach, I live in Koh Samui and will be returning here on a bi monthly basis to relax and unwind, the photo is just after sunset this morning from Room 612. To sum up, the hotel is what it is, but from my experience here it is more superior than some of the negative reviews would have you believe and for the reasons stated I will give it 5 stars, it has been a pleasure staying here with my gf, who btw also loved it

  Perfect Spot on Khanom Beach

  This was our second trip to Khanom and during our first trip, we had picked out the Golden Beach Hotel as the best spot to stay if we ever came back. It ended up a great choice! The location right by the beach is just fantastic, and the attached restaurant (The Beach Khanom Bar and Grill) is just perfect. The interior and the rooms arent ultra modern by any means, but theyre clean and comfortable. The highlight of the room for me was the ocean view from the balcony. Nice to wake up to when youre on vacation. The staff treated us like family, always making sure we were happy and recommending this and that. They arranged motorbikes for us and other transport when we needed it. There is a really cool cafe and craft beer bar just up the road from the hotel which was great for watching football. Also, the main crossroads in Khanom town is only 1.5km away on the same road as the hotel. If we make it back to Khanom a third time, well be staying here again.

  Very disappointing

  Stayed 9th July 2020 Staff very pleasant, lovely setting, wonderful quiet beach and very good breakfast Enjoyed the upgrading to the Grand Executive Suite which, although spacious with breathtaking views, is dated and in big need of refurbishment Disappointed by head staff's behaviour who told us only after payment was made that we couldn't use the pool which is being repaired. One off our priority is a pool hence our choice of hotel and specially Golden Beach where we stayed many times. Finally the lady owner intervened, was very apologetic and upgraded us to the Grand Executive Suite. The room (623) was spacious but not very clean, found a polystyrene box with smelly rotted food in one cupboard, the kitchen sink was disgustingly dirty and the bathroom was not very clean either. Also no phone in the room so if you have a problem you have to go down 6floors to front desk So having, previously, spend many enjoyable times in this hotel we were very disappointed this time. And unpleasant surprise the hotel told booking.com that we did not show up !!!

  Faded glory

  Old but still stylish hotel. Right on the beach. It's worth getting up to watch the sun rise. Ok the rooms are dated but it has a certain charm. Pool is excellent . We found the staff friendly and helpful particularly the two men in reception. It's a shame there is so much debris at the top of the beach by the palm trees.
