  Driving through

  Booked last minute driving through excellent small hotel .We were Taken to our room .The room was spacious and clean .Kitchen was closed as we arrived late however the owner arranged for us to have a traditional Hungarian goulash.Breakfast was included very nice This small hotel had beautiful and well maintained gardens A 5 minute walk and you are at the Balaton Lake perfect would stay here again for a longer trip

  Enjoyable stay at well run family hotel.

  Friendly family hotel, the lady owner has several languages and was always available and helpful whatever the hour! All staff apart from (one rather grumpy waitress) were very helpful and we were very impressed with the cleaning teams - even taking long brushes to clean around the ceiling of balconies etc. Attractive en suite room with balcony overlooking the attractive garden - which mainly large trees. Pleasant to eat breakfast outside. Breakfast was the same every day but a reasonable selection. Hot drinks from a machine (and all written in Hungarian) but by experimenting we found one we liked but we would have liked a real coffee machine. There was also an onsite restaurant which served mainly grilled dishes, and a bar. In peaceful area but only a short walk to the lake. Excellent wifi. Good a/c which was very important as it was in the high 30s when we were there. Free parking on the street was fine, though guests could also pay to park in a locked area. With a car, the busy Siófok town and all other areas were easily accessed. Lots of little areas by the lake with cafés and restaurants. NB If driving back to the airport for a flight, allow plenty of time as the Budapest ring road gets very busy.

  Great place....

  Everything was wonderful at the Kentaur except the shower was EXTREMELY small. Great complimentary breakfast, great family run restaurant and hotel. Easy access to the lake as well. Def would recommend it to everyone. Only thing that would make it better was if the had a pool! LOL

  Hotel with a great garden

  We enjoyed the hotel garden environment. The hotel is not the latest design but offers a peaceful location and friendly personnel. It is located quite close to the Balaton lake. Staying here in May guaranteed not a busy season with a few tourists around.

  quiet place

  I just passed by this property being on a business trip. The place is swarming with vegetation , which is a must have on highly sunny days. The inner yard has a terrace where you can serve delicious food. Parking places outside and in the yard. May not be enough for all guests, but in current times does not seem to be very occupied. The room is well maintained and clean. i only had trouble with the main lamp, which was a bit too low for my height. next time i will be more careful :-)
