Great Hotel, on the beach!
Excellent room with a view of the beach. In the heart of the action with a wide range of different eateries within a very short walk. Restaurant in hotel excellent. Although breakfast is different. Apart from the range of self select juices and cereals they bring a full plate eggs, meats etc instead of you walking up and selecting for yourself. Lifts fast!

Very Nice But a bit Confusing
I came by KTX from Seoul to Busan and public transit to the hotel. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beachfront property. Not hard to find but when you get there you need to figure out that the front desk is on the 15th floor. You also need to locate the elevators which are separated. The hotel is very nicely decorated and there is lots of window area to allow you to enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean. The room was a decent size and was well appointed and comfortable. One of my favourite things was the massage chairs set out in the hallway where you could relax in them while enjoying the view. I never tried any of the hotel restaurants while I was there. The tourist office was just a short walk away and there were numerous restaurants in the area. One problem is that many of the restaurants were North American style cuisine and fairly pricy. I really wanted to try local dishes but many of the restaurants of this type were barbecue houses and these would not seat solo diners. Eventually I found some great places a bit of a walk away but travellers should be aware of this aspect of Gwangalli. Haeundae seemed to have a much better dining scene and market for my tastes. All in all if you are going to Gwangalli this is a good choice. No problem with English.

Great location, customer service needs work!
Our flight arrived early into Busan so we got to the hotel at 8.30am. Check in was 3pm (this seemed later than usual to me). The receptionist informed us that our room was ready but if we wanted it before 3pm we would need to pay 45 extra. No sense of customer service they just want to make as much money as they can. The room was going to sit empty until 3pm as they couldnt sell it. Instead of making two tired guests feel more welcome, they opted to charge us more money (half the nightly room rate) for 6 hours more in our room. It wasnt the friendliest start to our stay. Breakfast wasnt great either. However, most places dont open until 10am so if youre an early riser like me, the breakfast is useful. If you like to lie in, save the money and spend it on a nicer place. The location is good. Its right beside the beach and the view from the lobby and roof top is great. The partial ocean view rooms are very much partial. If I stayed again I wouldnt bother with the extra cost.

Did not meet expectations
When showering, the water ran out of the shower and flooded the bathroom. The water also didn't drain, so when I got out of the shower, it spilled out into the entire bathroom. I phoned reception to let them know and all they did was send 2 towels up to the room. In the morning, the water had saturated into the bedroom carpet and by the end of the day stunk of damp. The next day, the same thing happened therefore a relaxing trip ended up being pretty stressful. I also went to look for a place to have dinner, there are 3 restaurants at this hotel: Pizza Mall, Ashley's and a Sushi place. All of which closed sooner than the opening times that were advertised, therefore I got sent away. I was disappointed with this stay and expected more from this hotel.

Best location and the view
It's right in front of Gwangalli beach, the view is very nice from the room, though the best view is actually from the lift at the front. Gwangan Bridge is clearly visible from the room which is beautiful at night. It is only a short stroll to Gwangan Station, which can take you to the city centre, Haeundae or all other tourist attractions easily. We were worried about the parking spot because when we made the booking we were advised that SUVs don't fit into the lift, though when we reached there, we were able to park a compact SUV (Kia Sportage) there without a problem
