  Worst place I have ever stayed

  It was very hard to find, even when I was on the road. When I arrived the receptionist was helpful and gave me the keys to the room, I paid and took my passport (which is normal in Italy) but she told me I could have it back in ten minutes which was odd and she didnt tell me why. Naturally I don't like giving my passport away. I went up to the room, on my way I met a friendly maid, However the room was filthy, the floor wasnt swept there were HUNDREDS of cobwebs covered in dust on the raidiator(sp?) and in the bathroom the shower was dirty, there was hair in the sink and I found a toenail clipping on the floor. I HOPE the beds were changed but I'm not sure. The cupboard which held the fridge was broken as was the fridge, and it was disgusting. the inside was covered in slime. I was going to overlook all of this until I arrived back that night after being in the town. I got back to the hotel around 10-ish, a man was smoking outside I greeted him and continued inside, walking towards the door to the rest of the hotel I recieved a very angry and unfriendly "DIMMI" after about 10 mins of him screaming at me in Italian (good thing I study it) I managed to tell him that I was staying at the hotel and that I have the key, then he asked me for my documentation. Finally letting me in after interrogating me I went upstairs. The breakfast was minimal just coffee and a croissaint, some biscuits if you wanted and water. While this hotel is close to the centre I would STRONGLY advise avoiding it. There are better hotels all over Bologna. The hostel while further out is much cleaner, has a better breakfast and friendlier staff, as does the Ideal Hotel. Both of which are cheaper. I'm glad I only stayed one night.
