    best ryokan experience ever

I have visited this ryokan for 3 days and it was my best experience in Japan. It was very clean and staff were very friendly. We were given a entire house and we also had a very good size of in and out hot spring. Water quality was phenomenal and our skin got better quite a lot after few days staying. dinner service was in traditional Japanese way called kaiseki and it was very good as well. definitely recommended. I'll visit again if I go to hita next time.

    Great stay!

I really loved my stay at this ryokan. It's my second time at this ryokan and I will definitely return! The food and their complimentary drink (a house brewed yuzu liquer) was amazing. I had some of the best food in Japan right here at this ryokan. We got an individual room with two private onsens (one outdoor and one indoor). It was very comfortable and relaxing. We didn't even want to leave the room. The staff were so great. They were very accommodating and considerate, especially when they knew we aren't from Japan. They even offered assistance from a server, Wang Chen, that spoke our language. She is super polite and friendly, and she described every dish thoroughly and with a lot patience. Her service really is top notch. On another note, my husband accidentally left his cellphone at the ryokan and didn't realize it until we were already at the train station (we've already checked out at this point). We called the ryokan and they immediately offered to bring us his cellphone. I can't imagine any other places doing that! We are so appreciative of their service.

    Wonderful stay

I stayed here for two days in December of 2019. Very clean, very quiet, and beautiful grounds. There was a river just outside my window with rapids for a gorgeous sound. The hot spring baths were hot and clean. Very nice. The staff were so incredibly polite and very patient with my lack of Japanese. The food was very good, too much for me actually. I would have happily stayed here a month!

Nice hotspring hotel with great private outdoor bath

We really like the accommodation here especially the old fashioned Japanese building features and details. Love the wooden beams and antique furniture. Our accommodation is actually a detached 2-story house with a nice, cosy living room, a toilet, an indoor bathroom and an outdoor private hotspring bath in a lovely small back garden. The service is nice and friendly even though the staff don't speak English. The food is tasty although the portion is really big. We got stuffed 2 days in a row.
