Good for Single StayStayed twice here once alone once iwth Family in Superior room. The Bed is not sufficient for a family of 2 adults and 2 year old kid. The Location of the hotel is great and is just outside the JR station. There are plenty of eating options around.

Perfectly good but nothing specialI stayed for one night here as suggested by the company I was visiting. Having landed at Haneda there was a simple bus transfer to Kawasaki station which is about 200m from the hotel. Quick tip on the bus: it only takes cash and only small notes. If you go to the cash machine /ATM it gives you 10,000Y notes that the bus wont accept. I relied on a very kind passenger to give me change for a 10,000Y note or I would have missed the bus The hotel rooms are small (at least the cheap ones are) but fine for 1 person. The cheaper rooms are internal which means they look into a large central open air bit but have no external view. Given that I slept the whole time this was no problem and it may well have been quieter as a result The bed was clean and comfortable and everything worked. There are lots of bars, restaurants and coffee shops very close by

Excellent choice in bustling Kawasaki! The location is great, within easy walking distance to loads of restaurants, bars, and shopping. Check-in was quick & easy! The wonderful staff had our keys ready & waiting for us upon arrival. Our room was clean and a nice size, with a fabulous view of the city out toward the water. The bed was a bit on the hard side, but had all non-feather pillows--great for allergy sufferers! The one nightstand had two power outlets but only one worked, unfortunately; same with the USB port. The room had an electric teapot, coffeemaker, mini-fridge, plus a trouser press in the closet. The bathroom area had a large counterspace, lots of amenities, and a multi-speed hairdryer. There was a wet room with shower and tub. The shower water pressure was good and the hot water stayed hot. The toilet was in its own separate cabin, complete with our favorite Toto toilet, as expected in Japan! Love it! The free WiFi mostly worked well. I would happily stay here again.

maybe not againThe Hotel Nikko Kawasaki is conveniently located next to JR Kawasaki Station and only a short walk to Keikyu Kawasaki Station. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The hotel rooms are on the upper floors in a multi-purpose building and sometimes it appeared people got lost in the lift. Anyhow, breakfast is extra at one of the many restaurants in the building and it was not very much to my liking, not least because I found my table taken by some foreign business men whilst I got a second fill of coffee. The system of the free and occupied table cards did not work in this case or was simply disregarded. The room was rather small and cramped, which did not come as a surprise. Staff at reception have been friendly and helpful and check-in as well as check-out was handled efficiently and quickly. Considering the rate per night though, I would probably try a different hotel in Kawasaki next time.
