  Simple business hotel but great for westerners

  We stayed here while visiting friends. Unfortunately we were on a smoking floor--which could be smelt in the hallway. The room itself had almost no hint of cigarette smoke. Clean, basic and the desk staff was very helpful despite our lack of Japanese and minimal English on their part. Only five minutes from the train station and lots of food choices nearby. Would stay again

  Confortable and good price, confortable et pas cher

  An hotel close to the center of the city Kawaguchi, located in the Saitama prefecture, north of Tokyo. Modern and confortable, of course japanese style, rooms rather medium sized, but very good quality-price ratio.AT a walking distance from the center of the city (mex 10 min). Many shops and restaurants around for an attractive price also. One can reach Tokyo or northern cities by train easily. Japanese bath available during 3 slots : early morning (6:00), late afternoon (5:00) and evening (10:00). Breakfast mixed japanese-international style. Kawaguchi est situé au north de Tokyo, préfecture de Saitama. Un hotel siuté au centre ville, confortable et pas cher, style japonais bien sûr, les chambre sont de taille modeste , mais très confortable. Restaurants à proximité, joignable à pieds. De la gare de Kawaguchi on peut rejoindre Tokyo et les ville du nord. Bains style japonais au premier étage, 3 créneaux horaires, matin à 6H, après-midi à 17H puis soir à 22H. Petit déjeuner plutôt style international avec spécialités japonaises.

  Nice hotel in the middle of Kawaguchi

  Coming from Tokyo Kawaguchi seems to be province, but really it is not. The hotel has a nice appearance and the reception was friendly and with some words of English. The rooms had an acceptable size and very comfortable beds. Again, probably as usual in Japan, the bathroom was tiny. Even the step to get into the bathroom was this time way higher that in the other hotels I visited. Breakfast was good. Selection of different things, Only the bacon is not made cross. But you can order eggs to your style. Just ask (if they understand).

  Comfortable hotel near train station

  This is a nice typical business hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Besides a private bath in the room, there is a also a nice large bath on the first floor. Nice place to soak and melt your aches away. The train station, is less than 5 MIN walk. The hotel is far enough away that you won't here any trains. I've stayed here and the station hotel before and they are both nice inexpensive places to stay. The staff speaks enough English, so you should have no worries checking in.

  Not recommended - dangerous bathroom design

  The bathroom layout is tiny, very awkward and dangerous. The tub is tiny even by Japanese standards and it's difficult to get up out of. The floor is slippery when it gets wet and it does get wet even if you're careful. The worst part is the entrance - there is a very high step from the floor to the bathroom. The doorway is very small and dangerous to enter and even more so to step down from. There's nothing to grab onto as you step down the very narrow doorway. For me the horrible bathroom layout is enough reason not to stay here. Even if you use the hotel onsen you still need to go into the bathroom for other reasons and every time you do it's a dangerous balancing act. Overall, the single most unpleasant bathroom design I've ever seen.
