  Correcto pero algo caro para la ubicación

  Estos apartahoteles no están nada mal, es bonito y tiene piscina,y está cerca del aeropuerto de Heraklion (35 el taxi) Por la parte negativa , para,ser un sitio en medio de ninguna parte, es algo caro (80 la habitación), sobretodo teniendo en cuenta que la cama no era nada cómoda, y que el wifi estaba sólo disponible en las zonas comunes. Con un pequeño empujón de la dirección puede llegar a ser una muy buena opción.

  About the only thing that I can find that's not positive to say about the Katalagari Country Suites is the location. They're a bit out of the way, and about 2k from the nearest town of Archanes. They're also a decent cab drive from the airport and the city of Heraklion. So, you either need your own car to get around, or rely on taxis, which are pretty cheap. On the plus side, the incredibly helpful owners and staff will go out of their way to help you organise transport. Of course, if you want peace and quiet, and if you want to be far from the madding crowd, then you're going to find the location perfect. These are proper self-contained suites, so by European standards, they are big, and every room has a wonderful view over the Cretan countryside. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There is wifi, but it's not great (it's not great anywhere in Crete), and excellent heating and air conditioning. The pool is very large and well looked-after, and there are plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas. It's very easy just to spend hours lazing by the pool. It's a pretty big property, but there's a real feel that you're staying in someone's house. If you let them know, you can organise dinner, and the chefs will produce a hearty and tasty meal for you. Breakfast is excellent. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to help you. They all spoke good English. Everyone we dealt with was helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The suites aren't cheap, but they offer good value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending these suites, but do be aware that they are a bit out of the way.

  Lovely hotel but be aware of the highway directly in front

  The property itself is very nice. Grounds and gardens are beautifully maintained as is the pool area. We were the only guests one night yet they were happily waiting to prepare breakfast for us in the morning. Room was very spacious but starting to be dated. The downside, however, is the pretty substantial new highway that is directly in the front of the hotel. The noise is pretty constant and really cant be avoided.

  Overpriced Cretan MotorInn

  Not to disrespect the owner of this beautiful appartment complex, but after our early september stay we felt that the property is missrepresenting itself as a quiet and upscale agrotourism resort but what we experienced was disappointing. We arrived on an late Friday afternoon to find a ghost town complex with no reception staff ready to greet us. The check in was ackward, while the man whoe check us in tried his best, he wasnt from the area and coudnt direct us with basic information for dinner or best winery to visit nearby. He offer to eat at the kitchen onsite, but he didnt know if there was enough food for us as there was only 2 reservation planned that night. Reservation needed to be made in the morning as there are no "restaurant" on site just an eating area serve by the familly nonna. We felt like we were disturbing, so we decided against, it was dissapointing since the hotel really reprent itself as a gourmet organic dinning experience. Since there were only a few rooms rented, breakfast was not aligned from what they sell on their website; Cake, juice, fruits, boiled eggs, filter coffe. On the positive side have to say the room we large an luxurious compared to what else you can find in the region. The pool is also exquisite compared to other placed aroud. BUT it is located extremely passing highway, night and day, so lounging by the pool or on your balcony doesnt feel like a vacation at all. Im surprises that the other review dont focus on this, but I think the highway was completed in 2017, so it could explain why it wasnt a problem beforw On Saturday morning, it seems like the hotel filled up with familly member coming to spend the week end. The pool was over taken by a group of teenager playing ball and trying to throw the resident cat in the pool. It became obsvious that these kids were not paying guest, and that we were sponsoring their stay paying for an expensive room. I have more than 10 years experience working in hospitality, and I did a lot of research to find the prefect hotel for my vacations. The curated pictures, the description on the hotel website was simply not representative of the reality. If you are looking for a nice big room and a pool, and easy driving access, this place is gold as it feels more like a motorinn. If you are looking for peace and quiet, an authentic agrotourism experience in crete I recommend trying somewhere else.

  Heaven on Earth

  This is Crete at it's absolute best ( and there's a lot of serious competition ). Fabulous. The people, the cleanliness, the food, everything. You can walk, take excursions or just lie by the pool. Total enjoyment. You don't news to due to go to Heaven. Just go to Katalagari.
