  Rather a 2 star hotel that need renovation asap

  I still cant get over how this hotel presents itself thru photos online vs the reality. Outdated rooms with huge stained and dirty carpets, broken table mirrors and such a run down and old bathroom where hot and cold water switch constantly while showering. And that was their superior room at 165 euros for a night!!!! no minibar, no safe, no nothing! The positive thing is that they accept pets but i was completely shocked when they told me they charge 25 euros (!!!) extra for the dog. I mean, my dog got dirty fur by laying on that horrible smelly carpet. All together, a very bad experience and a place i just wouldn't recommend to anyone :( next night we stayed at a very cute hotel nearby at much lower price and payed 8 euros to have our dog with us, which is average for europe. so, stay away.

  Underwhelmed!

  Stayed 2 nights for a meeting. Would have ben disappointed if I had paid my own money to have stayed here. Staff are obviously believing that their hotel is something special and act like it! They watch the guests like hawks not in an attentive way, but in a questioning manner making sure that you have paid for thing that thy think you have had. For example sat outside and talked to a number of people from the meeting only to b chased by one of the staff who believed that I had purchased and not paid for something; all was done in a questioning manner. A quick way not to endear themselves to me!!! The food, for breakfast and dinner were OK good selection and of a good quality. The room was dated, old and looked out over the restaurants aircon system but if the room was outdated the bathroom was antiquated. They use plastic shower curtains and we all know what they are like the bathroom also flooded needs a major refurb and upgrading. The location is out of town 30 min walk into Zeist! I might have to stay there again next year I do hope that I will be able to report a much improved ambience.

  Excellent Stay

  Myself and my husband just stayed here last night for one night. We had a great welcome on arrival. We ate in the main restaurant and chose the 4 course menu which was superb! Thd waiter was very attentive and very helpful in exposing the different flavours ... in English! I would normally not take breakfast as I find it a waste of money, however I decided to try it here based on the dinner the night before .... how glad was I.... excellent and great value for money. Room was spacious and very clean. All staff were extremely courteous and very helpful. I would definitely ho back and would recommend it!

  Beautiful weekend

  We had a castle suite with beautiful big balcony and big windows. Lovely huge bed in the room and jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. Just a right treat for a long weekend. Great food, wonderful people, clean everywhere. Breakfast in the room was lovely. Hotel staff were really very nice, friendly, helpful and professional. We've been treated very well by everyone. Compliments to chefs in Bistoria, not only their food looks beautiful on the plate, it tastes divine. Thank you everyone for unforgettable experience. We had a lovely time.

  Wonderful stay

  All was good, and though i stayed for business i would bring family for a pleasure stay. Service great from start to finish. Breakfast attentive and well served with politeness, great choice. Very spacious downstairs though room was small, and bathroom could be upgraded. Very original ambience and design. Very pleasant throughout, decent in room amenities, though noisy parties might be minor disturbance. Watch if you arrrive late noy to go to wrong entrance in dark. Hotel is separate from other building. Overall great, memorable experience, was not at all expecting such a grand experience. Front desk was very helpful, welcoming and friendly taking special care to guide me as needed. 100 per cent wonderful staff! Thanks!
