Summer days in a castleOur family spontaneously decided to stay in this eye-catching beautiful castle and no doubt we made the best decision. From the first minute we felt very welcomed by the very friendly management and personnel. The hotel lobby and dining room are beautifully decorated. The rooms we picked were roomy, clean and also nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet was full of fresh choices. We highly recommend spending some restful nights at this hotel.

One of the best experiences in the NetherlandsWhat could be more wonderful than spending the night in a castle? One could add a beautiful room with a breath-taking view, a room with a walk-in (down) tiled Roman bath, quality service, great breakfast, and a most extraordinary inn-keeper - Johan. All this nestled in on a country hill and just a short walk to a quaint restaurant along a small river. I can't say enough about our visit. Johan spend much time talking with us and sharing the history of the hotel - which was also occupied by German officers during WWII. This hotel will always be in my memory and one of the highlights of our visit to the Netherlands.

Royal Treatment from Check-in to Check-outWe were surprised to find we were staying in a castle, and pleased that we did. This locally-owned and operated hotel has modern spacious rooms, very comfortable bathing facilities and a generous breakfast buffet. Johan, manager of the castle, is gracious, very friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a memorable one. It is situated in a beautiful area with walking trails nearby. We spent two days in the castle and enjoyed every minute.

Unusual and interesting but also a bit pretentiousWe stayed just one night, which was enough really. All staff were very friendly and the downstairs rooms are amazingly atmospheric. No dining is available, which is a wasted opportunity in visiting such a hotel. The bedrooms are named after knights of the mythical stories - as the whole castle is a 19th century folly this is in keeping with the faux grandeur. The room was big and dark. We couldn't get the bedside lights on. When we commented on this next day, we were told that most guests say the same thing - which if that was me, I'd print out some instructions or change the switches. We had a good breakfast and after a walk in the woods with our dog, we left. There is nothing more to stay for. For the price it could be much better. It's worth repeating, the staff were great.

Marvellous!Had a lovely stay in the tower! Great service of the host! Thuis hotel offers just 10 rooms, but all are great! No restaurant but just breakfast, very well taken care of. There are three restaurants moments away And many more at 10 minutes driving.
