  2 star review for a 2 star hotel

  A below average stay with a few concerning things that I would like to point out. The apartment in block A was bigger than we thought it would be with one double bed and 2 single ones. In the end, me and my partner were obliged to sleep in the two singles because the double made so much noise every time either of us would turn around!! The cleaner who was friendly left our door unlocked on several occasions. Open to anyone to go and get any of our belongings! The fridge was a constant nuisance, very loud. The shower (picture attached) was very old fashioned and what I can only describe as a wet room became disgusting and was never cleaned!! Not really much point connecting to the WiFi would recommend just connecting to the fast 4G there is in the area... the WiFi is incredibly slow... I would not recommend these apartments to families despite them being advertised as such due to the level of noise.. karaoke night going on until midnight, people coming home at 2 am, people playing music at 2 am.. very loud. All in all we loved the area but will definitely not come back to these apartments.

  Miserable

  I honestly don't know where to start. At first glanze it looked ok but the second we came to our hallway we got a bad feeling. It was dark greenish like from a toned down matrix scene. When we came in to our room it was like taking a time machine back to the 80s. Dark, moist and really old standard on everything except the 15" flat sceen tv that was in the "kitchen" area. On to the bathroom. Shower curtain that was covered in black mold. Loose wires coming out of the wall in the shower and very dark lighting from the 80s (matrix green). Bedroom followed the same standard and i think the beds were made of wood because i would probably have been more comfortable on a rug. Tried to sleep but mosquitos made that near impossible. We had to keep our balcony door open because AC was not included (in a tropical country!?) And we learned they wanted 7eur extra per night for it. Immediatly in the morning i booked another hotel across the street that was fresh, modern and had everything included (Cosmos apartments). On to the pool area. Not to bad at first but i noticed both pools had aa sharp edge of paint all around them (dangerous!) Sun beds where worn out but i slept better on one of those than the bed in our room. Breakfast was ok. The older gentlemen that served breakfast was very nice. The breakfast is not a regular hotel buffet but a platter with some different things like bacon, egg, toast. Decent is the word i would use. Lunch however was another story. The waitress looked like she was in hell or prison. Not a nice experience. In the end we used the hotel for the breakfast that we already had payed for. We also used the pool area because some of our frieds still stayed there. On and there are probably lice in the rooms because i got a few bites that one night that was not mosquitos, so did our friends in the other room. I could continue all day about this place..

  Great value for money

  Had a 2 week stay at these apartments mid September. Initially allocated an apartment near to the bar area. Apartment spacious and clean, but as others have mentioned, kitchen facilities are slightly lacking, and a microwave would have been helpful. However, the position of the balcony meant that it was just way too hot to sit out on it, even for a very short time. Requested a move to another with balcony in shade, and was accommodated quickly, and with no added expense or quibble. As we were also caught up in the Thomas Cook collapse near the end of our holiday, again, they were most accommodating when we had no idea what time we would be flying home. The hotel itself, is in a good position, being ten minutes walk to a lovely beach, and with shops and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed many meals at the nearby Bellimisio restaurant next to the beach, with great sea views. There is also a bus stop close to hotel for Rhodes town. The swimming pools at the hotel were very good, with a lovely sun garden at rear. All in all I would be happy to stay here again. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and bar not having a microwave in the kitchen, have little cause for complaint.

  Promised so much but!

  Location; Kassandra apartments is located just off the main road from the Airport to Rhodes Town. It is a very busy road 24/7 and care should be taken with it. don't think the crossings means the traffic will stop for you because it doesn't. The aparthotel is very well presented from the outside and the foyer/reception is very smart and looks the part. the staff were very welcoming and once the formalities were out of the way we were told our apartment was in A block and room 103. Accomadation: Other reviews have said its dated or retro! i think dated is more the word. Our apartment was very dark as the only windows were the two doors that go out onto the balcony. we had a double bed and two single beds, the double , the matress was very hard and uncomfortable but the singles were far better and these we used. the bathroom looked very grubby, all most dirty until we found that the bath had been painted and the paint was peeling off!! also the shower walls appeared dirty from sun cream etc. from the balcony the view we had was of a overgrown garden with no sunlight whatsoever getting to the balcony, this needs a serious cutting back. Bar/Restaurant: was clean and stocked a vast range of drinks etc but was a bit on the dark side but did have a outside eating area. the food was good and plenty of it and always freshly cooked by the chefs, so never go hungry here. Pool: a lot has been said about the pools and yes they bith need some work and updating so yes we agreed care should be taken around them. the back pool got the sun for most of the day so best place to get a great tan. Staff: This by far is the best bit, the staff were very polite and always said hello. Thats from the reception to the cleaners, always had smiles and nothing seem too much trouble. So we had a great time in Rhodes, visited some lovely places and eat really good food. Would we go back to Rhodes - Yes Would we go to Lalyssos - Yes Would we go back to Kassandra - No sorry but i think there are better places out there.

  Perus hotelli aurinkolomalle / Ordinary hotel for a beach vacation

  Jos etsit luksusta, Kassandra ei ole paikkasi. Jos etsit laatua, Kassandra on paikkasi. Perus hotelli, Suomen motelli. Huoneet ok ja saa kotoisaksi levittelemällä omat tavarat sinne. Ei kahvinkeitintä. Lomallahan harvemmin tullaan nököttämään hotellihuoneeseen, joten välttää nukkumiseen. Sängyt kovahkot, infosta lisäpatjaa pyytämällä. Hyvät allasalueet, aurinkoa voi ottaa aamusta iltaan. Hieman lentoliikenteen ääntä päivällä, yöksi rauhottuu. Henkilökunta ***** !! Varsinkin ilta aikaan. Baarimikot pitävät asiakkaistaan hyvää huolta. Suosittelen osallistumaan hotellin baarin iltamenoihin mm. karaoke. Se tuo monia kansallisuuksia yhteen. Terveisiä Georgelle ja Alexille! If you're searching luxury, Kassandra is not your place. If you're searching for quality, Kassandra is your place ;) Ordinary hotel, like Finland's motel. Rooms are ok for living and you can make them cosy by hanging your stuff around the apartment. No coffeemachine. But it's all good for sleeping your nights. Beds are a bit hard but you can ask an extra pattern from reception. Good pool area to take sun for a whole day. Some plane traffic at the day but it gets quiet for the night. Staff is ***** (five stars.) Especially in the evening and night time! Bartenders take good care about their customers. I recommend you all to take part in the hotel's events. Like Karaoke night.
