Perfect place to relaxThis hotel was perfect for a relaxing few days in the middle of a very busy holiday. The rooms were airy and spacious, with two walls that were glass from floor to ceiling overlooking the river. The rooms were fully air conditioned. The bathrooms toilets have about a foot gap between wall and ceiling so geckos and millipedes will visit! We ate in the restaurant for breakfast every day which was delicious (included pancakes!) and once for an evening meal. The food was great but vegetarians beware.. If ordering vegetarian noodles and someone else in the group is ordering pork/chicken noodles, it will be cooked together and the meat picked out. We found a few bits of chicken in with ours! Transport to the island is by a regular boat shuttle, on the hour to leave the island and they will pick you up if you ring them (the restaurant next to the pier will ring for you if you don't have a phone/sim). The Pool and grounds were fantastic! The Pool is small but I never had to share it with anyone else so that was a bonus! I only wished I could have stayed longer as it was amazing and great value for me.

Excellent staying optionA beautiful resort in the midst of a small island in the midst of river Kawai in Kanchanaburi. The resort is spread over the entire island in a cottage style staying options. Cottages are big with a pvt terrace hanging on the river. There is a big pool overlooking the river. The breakfast is served in an open air restaurant on the banks of the river. The dinner room also was very good. Excellent hospitable staff. You must try it if you are planning to stay overnight on your way from Bridge on the river Kwai tour.

Grew on me.My initial impression was one of disappointment. The place looks quite dilapidated. The room was clean and with a very good view. The shuttle ferry makes things easy to travel to the pier where there are some nice restaurants. If a bit of money was spent on the place it could be improved no end. It was very peaceful there and the breakfast was good enough. It did grow on me though over the period of my stay.

Good & not so good.We were picked up at the peir & brought to the hotel by boat. Very pleasant boat ride, the lady operating the boat was very nice. On arriving we met the lady at reception, who was also very helpful. She suggested that we look at 2 rooms and chose one, if we liked them. If not they would take us back to the pier. All more than reasonable. We looked at both rooms and chose the more expensive one 1800b, as it had a TV & a fridge. The cheaper room was 1500b. We then took a complimentary boat ride back to the peir for dinner, the lady on the boat kindly waited for us. We went back to our room, which is in need of a restoration. The resort would have been really something in its day. But it is looking pretty tired at the moment. The plumbing/fixtures need some attention desperately. Some of the water goes where it is meant to, but the rest sprays. The room was tired, but clean. And we slept well. In the morning I sat outside to see the sunset, which was really beautiful. We also enjoyed a very nice breakfast on the deck with a great view. In summary, location is brilliant, food was good, service was very good & I think that overall, the price was reasonable.
