  I have written many reviews for trip advisor and unfortunately this is my first negative one. This is a small hotel and I suspect we were the only guests for our 2 days there and this might explain the general inhospitality we experienced. From the moment we arrived at the front desk we felt very unwelcome and an inconvenience to the staff. Its the little things. A greeting, (we were only greeted when we greeted first), a smile goes a long way, no information on hotel services such as breakfast times or internet, no complimentary water in the room so was the tap water safe to drink? Charge of 5 lira for a teabag. The room looked lovely and the linens and amenities were good quality. The room, however, was very stuffy and we needed to have the windows open and street noise was very vigorous. The interaction via email was always welcoming and the breakfast waiter on the first day was the only friendly exception who helped us get a taxi to Ani. Our only interaction with Mehmet was friendly but we only saw him for 5 minutes during our stay and then he wasnt around at all after that. The treatment was so at odds with our email correspondence. We were so looking forward to our stay.

  Just perfect!

  I have stayed at Kars Hotel for two nights with my family... It was just perfect, feeling just at home; the hospitality of the staff, the stories they shared about their beautiful home town, made our trip unforgettable. The hotel is very clean, has the most delicious breakfast, a very cozy fireplace and perfectly combines the Russian architecture with today.. Do not miss the chance to spend couple of nights in this splendid Hotel..

  excellent stay

  i have visited kars couple of times before - this time in 2019 summer, kar's hotel made my visit unforgettable. with hotelier back round, there is no point i would recommend the team to make it any better. team is friendly with appropriate manner - breakfast with varieties of local food with a modest presentation - rooms serving all the needs required with an elegant touch. thank you very much kar's hotel!!!

  The door of the hotel is like a house door. No uniformed staff. My check in was very fast. The hotel has 6 bedrooms. My room was perfect with a fire place. I just loved it. Friendly atmosphere. Very clean. Kars hotel will be one of my favorite place.

  A Great Place to Stay

  A small and lovely hotel, well situated to make the most of Kars. Friendly and very helpful staff, very comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Strongly recommended - the best small hotel I have visited in Turkey.
