Very Photogenic outside, not very relaxing roomsWe chose this hotel to begin our holiday and sleep off our jet lag. The rooms are very average, but the more annoying thing was the noise outside our room. From 6 am there was hustle and bustle out side our window. Even during the day, it would have been great to open our blinds and enjoy the sound of nature while we napped, but there were people doing maintenance right out side our windows, everyday, all day. The breakfast was not vegetarian friendly. The dinners were nice and the pool area was very relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Also the on-site cafe, was excellent. Like I said the grounds are amazing and begging to take photos in front of.

Wonderful visit to Kaomai LannaI stayed at Kaomai Lanna Resort for a week, from 25 to 31 March. The first two days was on one of their tailor-made packages, which involved dinner on arrival (delicious) and a half-day tour the next morning to the Ganesh Museum, Sa paper factory, local honey shop, and a brief look at the Ancient City. In all of this, we were guided by Ohm, who was wonderful friendly, informative, interesting and a pleasure to spend time with. Thank you! The package also included two yoga classes with the excellent Siri, as well as a wonderful massage in their spa. Highly recommended. Then I was part of a yoga retreat group with Charlotte Douglas, which was truly amazing. The new yoga sala is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with views all around of greenery and a pond. In fact, the architecture and grounds of Kaomai Lanna are truly exceptional, with giant tamarind and rain trees, lots of greenery and a beautiful swimming pool. The food provided to our group was amazing, thank you to the chef and all staff in the restaurant area who accommodated all dietary requirements while providing really high-quality food that tasted divine. All staff at Kaomai Lanna were very helpful and friendly, and bent over backwards to help with anything we needed. I really liked my room some people found the mattress a bit hard, but for me it was perfect. Yes, there are some issues that might be addressed some renovation work might be needed, notably in the bathroom but I was there to enjoy being in a most beautiful, tranquil place in nature, that is clearly loved and which the owners and staff are justifiably proud of. So for me, the minor issues of the room just didnt matter at all its not meant to be a 5-star resort, but it truly is a place for restoration and nurturing of the soul. I love the way they have set up a short walk at the back of the resort, behind the stunning new café, with plaques to explain the history of the place and the tobacco barns from which this resort originated. Its definitely a place I would like to return to! Thank you to everyone there for making my trip so memorable and delightful.

A lovely get-away from Chiang MaiI recently enjoyed a night at this peaceful resort, 40 kms south of Chiang Mai. All the rooms have been converted from two-story tobacco drying kilns, and the estate has recently been granted UNESCO World Heritage status. The coffee shop offers refreshing drinks and delectable desserts served with homemade jam, while the restaurant uses locally-sourced and on-site grown organic produce. The staff are friendly and welcoming, as are the magnificent trees on the property.

Very nice resort but terrible areaThe resort was a Tobacco barn before and was then converted into a resort but the place was nice as you have a feeling of being in nature and the barns are covered in plants. Rooms are ok but since COVID-19 the breakfast was shut and instead they used the bistro for breakfast lunch and dinner which is tiny but the menu is fine. Tricky for vegetarians....Oh and dinner closes at 5:30 so we had no dinner. Grab couldnt deliver so far out of town. Overall nice place location not great, 50 mins from the airport.
