Nice view over the ocean - great location!

The hotel is located on the beach front, next to Kamogawa Sea World. The rooms are clean and the food is buffet style with a great variety. If you stay at the hotel you can go for a night tour through Kamogawa Sea World.

    Nice family Hotel

This is a great hotel if you have young children. The food was great and the had child care workers there to look after the kids so you could eat your dinner in peace if you so choose to. There are plenty of baby chairs durring dinner time also. The onsen is also child friendly with baby chairs and bath toys for the kids to play with. We had free entry to Seaworld which is basically conected to the hotel. The hotel was quite outdated as it looks like it was built in the 70's but everyone still enjoyed there stay regardless.

This hotel really needs to renovate, especially the bathroom areas

The location is great if you want to visit Kamogawa sea world the next day, which we did. The Japanese style rooms are a good size. Futons were quite hard and that woke me up a few times. Our room was facing the sea and we could hear it, which was nice. Not so nice was that it smelled of smoke quite strongly, but maybe I should have been more careful when booking, they might have non smoking rooms available. We had a good time, and the buffet style food is great when traveling with kids, but the hotel really needs to renovate, especially the bathroom areas, which were very tiny and outdated.

This is a very Japanese Hotel

Kamogawa SeaWorld Hotel is a very typical Japanese resort hotel and quite old. But there is not many hotel choices in this place. At least the staff spoke a little English and there are some English signs and explanation. The seaworld can be visited in less than a day if you arrive early (about 10am) but if you really love sea mammals and think a 2 days visit is necessary then an overnight may be necessary. It is not a cheap hotel but it gives you free access to the seaworld. However there is no choice for food in this hotel, only the buffet which serve typical Japanese dishes. For dinner, they have sashimi and options for children. There's a playarea with childcare services for free during meal times. There's also a hotbath area free for quests. The rooms are typical Japanese Futon-style. The toilet is typical Japanese style and so very cramped. There's a small souvenir shop with better pricing than the SeaWorld shops but not much snacks option. Seaworld has more food options. Staff are friendly and helpful despite limited English. *Do remember not to step on the tatami floor with slippers or shoes.

The hotel package is a bargain for Sea World lovers and those with young children but with some shortcomings.

Stayed at this hotel for one night for a couple of reasons. It was close to our next destination Katsuura, but above all the package included a two day pass to Kamogawa Sea World with direct access from the hotel and a night tour to the Sea World. It was certainly an interesting tour to see the sleeping penguins and mammals in the night. The package dinner and breakfast were both buffet style in the basement restaurant. There were numerous dishes too many to try them all. I appreciated the sashimi which was of course very fresh but not luxurious and the numerous dishes of local vegetables. Our room was a tatami room on the ground floor with an ocean view. The room was spaceous enough for us two but with some shortcomings. The futon bed was not thick enough giving me a backache in the morning, The fridge was quite noisy and we couldn't turn the room temperature down as it was quite warm in the room. Also the bathroom is tiny even from Japanese standards. The amenities were quite basic. I wanted a razor but found they were only provided in the public bath. The public bath was quite good. The staff were all very helpful. My overall impression is that the hotel package is a bargain for Sea World lovers and those with young children.
