  Nice place just outside Lake Entrance

  The cottage is quite spacious with two bedrooms a living/kitchen and large bathroom with spa bath. On a daily basis the wood is stocked up for the heater inside. Location is great... in the forest just outside Lake Entrance. Possum feeding every evening is fun to see. Welcoming was a bit confusing. First she thought we were with four people whilst there were only two of us and then she thought we would only stay one night whilst we booked for two. Had the feeling there was a language barrier as the lady at reception was not native Australian. Kitchen equipment was not clean.

  Basic accommodation in very nice location

  The two bedroom cottage is good size for a family of 4. Cottages are basic yet comfortable, clean and equipped with essentials incl. a very good bbq. The location and setting are great, in a quiet and lovely forrest park not far away from the village. Staff organizes possum and bird feeding, which is very nice for kids as well as adults. Although there is wifi, it is very slow.

  Lovely location

  The location is lovely - set amongst trees and a short walk to the jetty. There is a walking track right through to Lakes Entrance which is a big plus. The actual cabin was quaint and fairly well equipped. Needed a bit of a clean - quite dusty and the outside furniture needed a good wipe (especially when they knew people were checking in). However the comfort level was very low and sadly, this would actually stop us returning. There was no couch in the lounge area - more a very uncomfortable kind of day bed so meant we were unable to sit and socialise, read or watch TV. Fix that and we'd recommend or return.

  Quaint stay in the woods

  The manager was really accomodating as I was arriving late in the day, so helped give me access when I arrived. The cottage was lovely and airy (I hate normal motels etc as you cant open a window) so this was perfect. Then being able to put a fire on in the evening while enjoying some wine was lovely. Waking to the sound of local bird life was exactly what I needed from my trip to Gippsland. Oh yeah, the hot water was amazing, I mean, no waiting for ten minutes to get it to work, and the bed and pillows wonderful. Slept like a baby.

  Run down and dirtt

  We stayed in a 3 bedroom chalet, paid $1400 for 2 nights, was just enough room for 2 families, we paid extra for mattresses to put on the floor. Unfortunately the room/premises were extremely dirty, we had to wash all the dishes as they had finger prints and chips on the glassware. Still some good on the fry pans and the outside bbq was dirty. Holes in the fly wire so we all got bitten over night by many many mosquitos. There was also hair on the sheets in one of the rooms and the showers were unclean :( The outside area was full of bushes, cobwebs, mess everywhere! Would have been such a nice area to spend time on if it was properly maintained. Their dog was chained up outside our room and barked a lot. For the money we spent (including extra for extra guests) we could have stayed in much nicer accommodation, which is such a shame as we have stayed here for over 16 years, many times, but this is the first time with the new owners, who have unfortunately let this place go. So sad :(
